1. Modern Interior Design – BELLEVUE HILL RESIDENCE

The concept for this large two-story residence by Conway + Wise Interiors was ‘Parisian Chic,’ artistically mixing the old with the contemporary. They intended to preserve the essential elements and bones of the Georgian era by designing elegant interiors that were both sensitive to the time and utterly contemporary.

Conway + Wise Interiors designed and redesigned all of the areas using only the inner shell. Natural timber chevron flooring and sleek, elegant joinery and finishes were combined with detailed wall panelling, brass fixtures, and marble.

2. Modern Interior Design – ANNE FONTAINE – The Emporium, Melbourne

The Anne Fontaine trademark embodies elegance and luxury. Melbourne is a design-obsessed city with a quality-conscious population. Conway + Wise Interiors developed a boutique within Melbourne’s luxury shopping mecca, Emporium Melbourne, that conveys the Anne Fontaine brand while letting the apparel and accessories be the stars. The store represents sophisticated style by using a subtle, textured palette with warm tones of toffee and praline.

3. Modern Modern Interior Design – VAUCLUSE RESIDENCE

This active Vaucluse family had purchased their run-down 1970s property with an authorised design for an extra floor. This owner requested a complete interior design service. The blueprints were modified, and the colours, finishes, and furnishings were chosen based on the owners’ preference for white and tonal colour schemes.

4. Modern Upholstered Armchair – MAROUBRA BATHROOM

As she intended to rent rooms in her house, a busy working lady wanted a major bathroom to remodel. The brief was for a bohemian look with a clean, white palette. To achieve the bohemian aesthetic, a paisley fabric pattern fused into a ceramic tile was used, as well as salvaged French doors on each side of a massive antique arched timber window that the customer had located, and a clawfoot bath.

5. Modern Interior Design – COMMERCIAL Edgecliff Offices

The client, a clinical and forensic psychologist, had been in his room for 20 years and the space needed to be completely updated and reconfigured. The design goal was to create a setting that was both soothing and exciting, evocative but safe. The design objective of Conway + Wise Interiors was to create an immersive experience that invoked emotion and imagination while engaging the senses. Except for taste, all of the senses are active in this realm. A visual reaction via thought-provoking design, a kinesthetic response via highly tactile materials, an aural response via the client’s music provided via surround sound, and a smell response by the use of a distinctive fragrance burning.

6. Modern Interior Design – MOSMAN RESIDENCE

This lovely art deco family house, perched high in the Mosman cliffs, was being totally reconstructed. With the designs approved and the builder ready to begin, the owners hired Conway + Wise to create a cohesive Concept Design. The owner preferred a variety of styles and had difficulties restricting her choices. The client also had a sizable art collection that needed to be considered. The idea created was “Light, Flow, Peace,” which echoed the owner’s desired values. This concept seamlessly and attractively combined and provided the client’s demands with a handpicked assortment of art deco-inspired products.

7. Modern Interior Design –  LASER AESTHETIC

The customer had worked in the beauty profession for many years and desired to relocate from her city location. Conway + Wise Interiors produced a warm and inviting space by using a peach and cream palette with gold accents, opulent furniture, and a curved wall echoing the architectural curvature of the outside as well as the feminine aspect of the company.

8. Modern Interior Design – BONDI APARTMENT

The clients had recently acquired this magnificent light-filled, large Art Deco flat near the seaside in Bondi and wanted to refurbish the kitchen, bathroom, and WC. The design inspiration for Conway + Wise Interiors came straight from the gentle tints and subdued colours of sea glass seen on Bondi Beach. Their approach is informal and friendly, drawing on the calm feel of living by the sea but also evoking the apartment’s historic charm.
