Modern Upholstered Armchair

Dreamtime Australia Design was founded by Michael Maccann, the 2008-09 winner of the renowned I.D.E.A. Australian Designer of the Year award.

Michael also received a national design prize from Belle Magazine / Georg Jensen in 2009 for combining Dreamtime’s distinctive style of thrilling hospitality design to an equally unusual retail development for a Harley Davidson, Ducati, and BMW motorcycle emporium.

Michael Maccann, a Miami, Florida native, designed, established, and operated more than 80 restaurants, pubs, and nightclubs in 12 countries and territories over four continents before becoming a recognized designer.

1- Modern Upholstered Armchair – SETA

Seta is a premium contemporary Italian restaurant in a stunning heritage building, Australia’s first Savings Bank dating from 1849, which provided a unique, refined yet exciting ambience suitable for one of the country’s top Italian restaurants, creating an inviting, comfortable slice of La Dolce Vita that embraces the tradition, history, and culture of Italy, blending the deep warmth of “yesteryear” with stunning “wow” features, setting the hopeful scene of enchanted reminiscence

2- Modern Upholstered Armchair – TURTLE ROAD HOUSE

The customer was a fan of Dreamtime Australia Design’s prior varied work, as well as the fact that our solutions were usually warm and inviting.

As the location had a very “Lake Tahoe” atmosphere, Dreamtime Australia Design used the Frank Lloyd Wright-inspired house in Alfred Hitchcock’s North by Northwest movie as inspiration and tried to build a warm, comfortable home that was both rational and user-friendly while being dramatic and distinctive.

3- Modern Upholstered Armchair – AMAN NEW DELHI

Dreamtime constructed a new free-standing 3-story restaurant and bar complex inside the hotel’s grounds, with private dining within a fire-lit water garden and spectacular open kitchens and bars, located on New Delhi’s embassy row adjacent to the India Gate.

4- Modern Upholstered Armchair – THE LOT

The Lot is a one-of-a-kind, cutting-edge pub with an ivy-covered glass dome and a bitumen parking lot covered in Persian carpets. Large upward-opening garage doors flank both sides of the structure, while Swarovski chandeliers and projected art pieces within gilded frames add drama.

The yellow velvet chairs also bring personality to this space.

5- Modern Upholstered Armchair – WHITEWATER

Whitewater, located on magnificent Manly Beach, adds a new level of thrill to Sydney’s northern beaches. Whitewater, which was inspired by a whitewashed beach cottage, mixes a relaxing, lived-in atmosphere with a casual elegance rarely found in Australian restaurants.

White leather seats and booths, comfortable white canvas banquette bench seating, and silver-leafed raffia grass are woven art hangings are offset by a stunning butter-coloured shark-skin leather bar front and a one-of-a-kind open kitchen.

6- Modern Upholstered Armchair – THE DEN

Dreamtime Australia Design designed Tasmania’s most gorgeous and thrilling 2-story bar on Hobart’s iconic Salamanca Place in a spectacular convict-built sandstone structure with a modern Tasmanian timber forest cabin idea.

7- Modern Upholstered Armchair – STEEL BAR + GRILL

Steel Bar & Grill is a genuine one-of-a-kind establishment. It’s an intriguing combination of polished stainless steel mesh and tiles, polished concrete walls, and silver-grey wood.

The private dining room contains a 4-metre organic pendant light, while the outside deck, which is encased in lighted calacatta marble, includes a 10-metre communal table with bespoke lighting, a cocktail lounge with a central fireplace, and white leather upholstered.

8- Modern Upholstered Armchair – THE PACIFIC CLUB

Patrons are greeted with an old-fashioned Rosewood wooden façade with enormous opening windows along the length of the Club’s two sides, which are spectacularly lighted in the nights.

The Pacific Club’s concept, which includes a “lived-in,” beautiful “beach shack” atmosphere in the interior decor and dark lighting, distinguishes it from its competitors in the tourist destination of Bondi Beach. Upon entering, visitors are greeted by a central aged-brass fireplace, delivering a preview of the warmth that will surround them in a variety of ways during their dinner.
