Fascinated by the sets and atmosphere of the theatre and the opera, Dorothée Boissier joined Penninghen-Esag, the Ecole supérieure des arts graphiques de Paris. After her graduation, she joined one of the most prominent interior design firms where she meets Patrick Gilles. Originally from Seville, Gilles came to Paris to do his higher studies at the Camondo School of Interior Architecture and Design, from where he joined Christian Liaigre’s agency and met Boissier.

With the urgent need to be able to respond to more and more clients, Gilles and Boissier decided to join forces and create their own interior design agency. Thus Gilles & Boissier was born in 2004.
