Charles Zana, one of the most talented and known french interior designers exercises his various talents in France as well as abroad, such as architecture, design, set design and scenography.
The designer attended the Beaux-Arts in Paris to study architecture. Later, he created his distinct style in response to a client’s request for the exclusive vision of this art admirer and design enthusiast. By distilling the core of art and design in a sequential manner, he shows his sensibility for both. He wants to usher in a new period in which classicism is revived and mixed with emotion, allowing his amazing and unique works to connect with his clients. Every new project is approached holistically by Charles Zana.
With 30 years of expertise, the studio has been able to work on and create exceptional projects all around the world. Charles Zana’s firm has substantial international scenography, design, and residential and commercial project expertise. We’d like to share some of the artist’s commercial work with you today.
Charles Zana initiated a restoration project to retain the character of the location, allowing a collection of contemporary art to coexist with the decor of a beautiful seventeenth-century Venetian villa that was once home to a doge.
Charles Zana has always had a fondness for mixing eras. The French interior designer is inspired by well-known Italian designers from the postwar era to the spirit of the Enlightenment when it comes to delicate luxury and modest lines. Zana’s particular flair is perfectly reflected in this design.
In this wonderful project, we can see a characteristic aspect of Zana, the combination of styles and eras. The interior designer left the walls and windows with their classic architecture, characteristic of Paris, and added a modern sofa, upholstered in a fabric often used in modern decoration.
Located in the Hotel Lou Pinet, this living room is one of several common areas. In it the designer wanted to reflect nature, so he used a palette of neutral, natural colours, with hints of bloom.
One more creation, one more timeless design. In this creation, the artist used an element designed and made by him. The sofa that gave its name to the project, Julie Sofa was entirely designed by Zana, a piece that becomes the highlight of this living room.
This villa, which has every window exposed to the sea and looks out over the Rock of Monaco, revisits the French Riviera aesthetic in the present. The interior designer uses neutral tones to convey the outside vibe inside.
