The extraordinary decoration of his private property, the Hôtel de Sagonne, made him famous in 1980. This project gave him the opportunity to begin a successful career in France, where he worked on a variety of projects in the French capital. With the opening of the Wynn in Las Vegas, the Hôtel Victor in Miami, La réserve in Geneva, and Spice Market in New York, his success and recognition grew to an international level.
Jacques Garcia’s extravagance pays respect to and preserves the Belle Époque aesthetic, while simultaneously exploring Bohemian opulence and Oriental elegance. His ability to design opulent interiors in a classical style while still meeting the current needs of a hotel or private residence is vital to his success.
The perfect combination between various styles and various sources of inspiration, such as oriental culture, bohemian style are present in this project, with a touch of contemporary style.
Jacques Garcia was primarily inspired by Oriental culture for this artwork. This inspiration can be seen in the colour scheme, as well as the designs on the wall and rugs. The intricacies discovered in the many regions of the room make it unique, despite the fact that it is a stunning room.
Inspired by ancient Greece, this room transports us to another universe.
The distinctive qualities of Jaques Garcia’s designs can be seen in this design. The furniture and decoration are imposing and remind of the Belle Epoque, despite the colour palette being more muted than normal.
There is a prominent presence of Belle Epoque inspiration, as there was in the previous design. However, in this project, the designer has maintained the period tones as well as all of the golden accents, which, when combined with the rest, give a sense of richness and strength.
