Clerkenwell is home to more creative businesses and architects per square mile than anywhere else on the planet, making it truly one of the most important design hubs in the world. To celebrate this rich and diverse community, Clerkenwell Design Week has created a showcase of leading UK and international brands and companies presented in a series of showroom events, exhibitions and special installations that take place across the area. UK opens the door for visitors to see showrooms and exhibitions from the greatest names in architecture and design names.

Taking place from 22 to 24 May 2018, the design festival annually attracts the international design community to this small area of London for this exciting events.

Clerkenwell Design Week returns to the subterranean House of Detention, to introduce Platform, a show that recognises some of the world’s most exciting up-and-coming design talent. Exploiting the venue’s atmospheric architecture, Platform creates a stunning backdrop for a curated collection of international and cutting-edge design.

Every year Clerkenwell Design Week presents new design projects and street spectacles, commissioned specially for the festival and featured prominently around Clerkenwell. Inviting some of the leading pioneers in the creative industry, these projects aim to push the boundaries of design, in terms of concepts, process and material capabilities

Set in the beautiful grounds of St James Church, Project brings together a leading selection of contract furniture, lighting and surface brands from around the globe. Launched in 2016, Project’s first outing was so successful it was extended to cover two linked pavilions for Clerkenwell Design Week 2017 and will return for 2018.

Detail at The Order of St. John reflects principles of fine craftsmanship and high glamour, showcasing the best and most prestigious names in the luxury interiors world. Selected brands will feature throughout the venue’s majestic Church, Crypt and Cloister garden.

New for 2018, Light will take over Fabric nightclub. The former cold-store turned nightclub, will host within its brick vaults an exhibition dedicated to top international lighting brands with spectacular stand-alone lighting installations.
