Modern Architecture: Discover Fondazione Prada in Milan
A modern architecture was created from the collaboration of the Prada and OMA Architects. Fondazione Prada in Milão is a masterpiece from OMA Architect Federico Pompignoli.
Located in a former gin distillery dating from 1910 in Milan, the new home of Fondazione Prada is a coexistence of new and regenerated buildings including warehouses, laboratories and brewing silos, as well as new buildings surrounding a large courtyard.

The architecture building aims to expand the repertoire of spatial typologies in which art can be exhibited. The project from the famous architecture firm consists of seven existing buildings, and three new structures: Podium; Cinema; and Torre.
OMA architect Frederico Pompignoli, first studied the existing buildings and spatial layout in order to ascertain what exactly was missing from his vision. All the new buildings that he and his team subsequently added were designed to effortlessly fit alongside the pre-existing structures.

The interior architecture of Fondazione Prada, like the cinema achitecture building, was also in charge by OMA Architect Federico Pompignoli.
The Bar Luce, a mid-century inspired Milanese café which was designed by celebrated film director and writer, Wes Anderson, and has been likened to a set from one of his iconic movies.
