Every project finished by Storm Interiors is founded on a clear design idea developed in collaboration with the client. To develop a unique creative direction for each location, Fishman builds on this base by looking at a variety of aesthetic influences and references from architecture, decorative arts, fashion, music, and movies.
The studio’s fundamental concepts of colour, texture, scale, proportion and light are then carefully studied, allowing for practical considerations and functional components to result in sophisticated yet inviting interiors.
These projects showcase the boutique firm’s impressive commitment to architectural integrity while working within a wide range of design styles.
“We have a strong design point of view, yet our solutions are centered around the client. We never repeat what we have done previously, but rather work to lead our clients to new possibilities based on their own vision.” – Lara Fishman
Popular home journals like Traditional Home, the Los Angeles Times, California Home + Design, and Modern Luxury Interiors, to mention a few, have highlighted the firm’s extensive portfolio.
“This house is happy, colourful, different, and makes us proud.” The things we selected and the things we sought have cheerfully joined us here. They now possess a Californian eye.
The conventional part was simple. The furniture that made its way across the nation was in fact traditional. Fishman knew she could alter the existing pieces into novel shapes that were inventive and suitable for the airy and updated feel of California design, even though Sue’s desired edge was lacking.
