Beata Heuman Ltd is known for its playful, unique work that is distinguished by Scandinavian attention to detail and longevity. The studio takes a completely immersive approach, designing all aspects of interior architecture as well as loose furnishings. Inspiration comes from a variety of sources, both past and present, and all projects include a wide range of bespoke pieces. This, in turn, has served as the foundation for Heuman’s expanding collection of fabrics, wallpapers, lighting, and furniture. Small, independent Swedish, British, or Italian designers created the collection.

Aside from residential work, the studio has designed a number of commercial spaces, including three Farm Girl Cafe locations in London, as well as a surreal, Egyptian Revival-themed space for the VIP lounge at Decorex International in 2018 and an auction catalogue and set for Christie’s.
Heuman, who was born and raised in Sweden, worked for Nicky Haslam for nine years before opening the studio in 2013.
