When Stantec was approached to design The Lexington, they saw the opportunity to develop a landmark that would define the southern edge of Chicago’s South Loop. Across from the McCormick Place Convention Campus, the 28-story tower houses one- and two-bedroom condominium units above a 7-story base building of additional housing, parking, and ground-floor retail space. The challenge was to design a facility that would be comfortable, sustainable, and aesthetically pleasing.

Lakehouse is a mixed-use residential building in Denver that occupies a full city block with townhomes, retail, and lobby spaces. Stantec design targeted a first-of-its-kind WELL Multifamily Building certification, focusing on health-conscious design for residents.

The building’s iconic structure composed of white precast panels, polished granite and metal creates a dynamic sculptural form that optimizes the constrained site. The project’s proximity to Boston Harbor prompted the team to create a resilient building.

Stantec is proud that Cortellucci Vaughan Hospital has opened to temporarily serve as a system-wide resource in the response to COVID-19 in Ontario, Canada. The facility, the first smart hospital in Canada, promotes an environment of health and wellness in all aspects of the design.

The mixed-use residential Ollie at Baumhaus offers residents a live-work-play experience in the heart of Pittsburgh and features several luxury amenities, including an occupied roof garden.

Designing the renovation of 33 Arch Street in Downtown Boston’s Financial District meant Stantec team would breathe new life into the building, increase the building’s public profile, and add to the user experience. The headquarters for the Air Line Pilots Association offers a less hierarchical than the former space, featuring standardized workspace sizes, a 50/50 workstation to office ratio, and an emphasis on transparency.

Bradfield Elementary School provides young learners with a variety of education spaces to accommodate diverse learning activities and recapture green space lost over the years. The building embraces the aesthetics of the community and incorporates the classical detailing of the original, 90-year-old school.
