Florian Douet, has a technical and artistic background (DUT Mechanical and Production Engineering – School of Applied Arts and global design in Nantes), Florian Douet became a product designer in 1999. Machines à ombres, luminaries of everyday life is the name of his thesis. He began his professional life in Paris and designed several ranges of lighting for ATEA. Multiplying prototypes, testing materials, reflectors, lighting all types of lamps, he is initiated to the design of light, while continuing various collaborations in space design. Rich of experiences in lighting design and interior architecture, his meeting with Alexis Coussement, Lighting Designer, (ACL agency) in 2003 was a turning point.
Florian Douet diversified his experiences and directly managed lighting projects for hotels, restaurants, boutiques, department stores.
He collaborates directly with the interior design agencies of Philippe Starck, Bruno Borrione, Ramy Fischler, Cabinet Alberto Pinto, Architecture Anne Demians, Caroline Lory, Raphael Navot, NIDO and for the groups LVMH Hotel Management, Accor, MamaShelter, la Maison Pic, Google, Nexity, BNParibas…
In 2016, DOUET DESIGN has formed as new company with 13 years of experience.
The convictions of the team support the human ethics, including organic food in the kitchen and in the rooms.
