Formally a Best Western Premier, the hotel has undergone a rebrand to a Four Points by Sheraton property, which would make it the first in East Africa, the first in Nairobi, and the first Four Points by Sheraton hotel for Areen Design. Located within the bustling hub of Hurlingham in Nairobi, the hotel will be a focal point for business and leisure visitors, as well as local residents. The mix of old and new, cosmopolitan and cultural as well as tremendous urban growth provides a unique context for the design of this hotel.
Areen Design was appointed to design the interiors of a new five-star hotel in Tétouan, set to be the JW Marriott in Morocco. Inspiration for the design of the interiors was drawn from traditional Moroccan patterns, materials and heritage. While respecting these values, the elegant yet contemporary interiors offer a warm welcome to all hotel guests.
Areen Design won the contract for the interiors of this 3,000m2 private villa, which is located within a larger complex. This is the largest private home within the development and is spread over five levels, with apartments on the upper level for each family member, including a bedroom, bathroom, study and lounge. Each apartment offers extremely personalised interior spaces, linked by exclusive and timeless spaces for the whole family to enjoy. The basement is home to a swimming pool, cinema, gym and spa.
Areen Design was appointed as an interior designer and procurement agent for the refurbishment of this expansive private residence in Saudi Arabia, to create a luxury family home. The style is contemporary-classic, with extravagant bespoke elements throughout, including custom-designed furniture, unique hand-tufted silk carpets and cast bronze decorative screens with inset crystal details.
The initial goal was to renovate the guestrooms, soon after conceptualization began the scope of works changed to include other public areas. Areen Design’s role was to design, document and assist with the development of the interiors. Areen’s design draws inspiration from a rich heritage of folklore, mythology & iconology. A design language rooted in heritage & re-imagined for the aspirational traveller, merging contemporary design with classic influences.
Areen Design carried out the Interior Design renovation for the Sheraton Grand Edinburgh, Scotland. The scope of work includes a 340m2 club lounge and 500m2 banqueting & meeting facilities. The design approach draws inspiration from both local and regional aspects of nature, culture and climate. This design promotes work and leisure principles with a contemporary design style. At the same time, it builds on local influences and references, emphasising authenticity and simplicity.

Areen Design was commissioned to offer a full design and procurement package, including interior design services and procurement of FF&E and OS&E. The interior spaces now incorporate a strong flavour of the locality and the Malagasy heritage; from striking patterns and colours to interior architecture and metalwork. The standards international travellers expect from Sheraton have still been provided, but with reverence to local influence.
Areen Design was appointed to renovate this city-centre property, one of the first five-star hotels in Zagreb. The existing building’s classic features are accentuated by a contemporary FF&E and colour palette, giving the property a feeling of understated luxury and contemporary elegance. The design team developed bespoke motifs and patterns, subtly reflective of Croatian culture, applied throughout the property in line with Sheraton brand guidelines.
Areen’s design proposal for this project draws inspiration from both local and regional aspects of nature, culture and climate. Ras Al Khaimah is blessed with the most fertile soil, diverse geography and climate of the Emirates. A veritable oasis; a place of refuge from the desert, forming the conceptual link between place and brand. This oasis-inspired project will deliver a series of spaces where guests will find shelter, reconnect with themselves and find natural harmony and rejuvenation. Ideas that align perfectly with the Westin brand and principles; allow Areen to create a distinct identity for this unique resort and conference centre.
Having previously redesigned the Guestrooms and Executive Suites of The Westin Palace Madrid, Areen Design was invited to reimagine the Royal Suite of the hotel. With its iconic history & location, the building has always held a special place in the story of the city. Given the hotel’s history as a favourite for artists and performers, the cultural significance of such an opportunity was not lost on the design team. As the most prestigious accommodation in the hotel, the refurbishment of the Royal Suite presented an opportunity to create an upscale, striking & memorable interior befitting its status. The Royal Suite is located on the hotel’s fourth floor overlooking Madrid’s Neptune fountain & the Prado Museum. The suite consists of a luxurious Master Bedroom & Bathroom, a separate Dining Room with an adjoining Study, Kitchenette, Powder Room & distinctly oval Living Room.
