AD Show 2019: What You Might Have Missed

Once again, one of the most fabulous American trade shows did not disappoint. AD Show 2019 was a success in everyway, and the products and brands speak for themselves. We’ll show you some of the most outstading brands present, as well as some of their products.

BRABBU

DBO HOME

With a commitment to craftsmanship and high-quality materials, husband-and-wife team Daniel Oates and Dana Brandwein create handmade modern heirlooms from their rural Connecticut studios. Together they became the creative partners of DBO HOME. Today, they design and make a full line of homewares, including dinnerware, serveware, accents, lighting, and custom furniture, that celebrates the tactile and aesthetic pleasures that come from filling your home with things that cultivate a sense of wellbeing. Their handcrafted goods are both made to last and enjoy every day.

John Liston Design

John Liston is a designer from San Francisco who makes furniture out of steel, brass, charred wood, and cast glass. . John joined Polich Art Works, where he worked on pieces for Frank Stella, Kiki Smith, and Louise Bourgeois. John debuted his signature line at the American Craft Council Show in 2012, where his furniture collection won the Award of Excellence. Since then, he’s shown at the Architectural Digest Design Show, Dwell on Design, ICFF, and WestEdge.

KGBL

KGBL is the product of a vision it’s three founding members had back in 2008 to design and produce a line of uncompromising, unapologetically modern furniture: a line of furniture dedicated to the design professional, furniture aficionado and anyone else who simply searches for what is best. They only produce pieces that incorporate unique materials and gave voice to ideas they did not see in other furniture. the credo was and remains: unless it brings something new to the bigger design conversation, it is not worthy of the collection.

Krista Fox Interiors

Since its beginning  the focus of the KRISTA Fox Interiors has always been listening to how a client wants to live in a space and then  shaping the environment around that message to create a home that reflects and celebrates the unique style of the owners. Another firm that shined at AD Show 2019.

Rutt HandCrafted Cabinetry
Rutt HandCrafted Cabinetry produces designs that were at once innovative and timeless. News spread quickly throughout the East, and the architecturally-styled cabinetry and furniture-quality construction opened eyes to a new level of excellence. Rutt soon set the new standard for custom cabinetry and carved out a unique position as the leading manufacturer of luxury cabinetry. The firm has added technology where it helps to guarantee a higher level of quality, but never as a replacement for the skill and pride of their artisans.
Unique by Ruth

Unique by Ruth started as a “hobby” of Ruth Gamarra in 2012. Her interest in transforming dated furniture into renovated and functional pieces continued to grow over the time, so she started to explore the market needs to find the right niche in the interior design world. Nowadays Unique by Ruth specializes in furniture refinishing and restoration services and sells a variety of unique furniture and ship nationwide. One of the most refreshing brands presented at AD Show 2019.

Cocobolo Design / Arbiter

Since 2008, Cocobolo has been the specialist in all areas of contemporary ceramic art and design representing some of the field’s leading artists. Their collection includes decorative objects, furniture, vessels, lighting, tableware, mirrors, custom tiles, bas-reliefs, architectural screens and large-scale sculpture. Led by Principal Benjamin Wiener from the New York-based gallery, collaborations between their artists and architects, interior designers and collectors have resulted in a range of installations for residential, commercial and hospitality projects around the world.
