Famous architects inspiration: Smith Maran architecture & interiors recently was nomineed to be in charge of a New York Project, full of modern architecture, leading to a tour of local selection to Insight Venture Partners. It’s furthermore a true original, melding SmithMaran’s decades of interiors experience with an admiration for modern architecture. “Ira and I were taught by modernists in a classical method,” Maran says. “We learned that the built world is a product of historical, social, and economic forces, and we must respond to them all.”
On the 36th floor, the designers saw an opportunity of almost perfect Insight of venture capital and private equity specialists to distinguish their culture — elite, never elitist, and your brand, creating value focusing technology, in a super competitive market. The floor plate of 32000 square feet, overlook the River-to-River and the lively place in Bryant Park were all equally attractive. Better yet, Insight co-founder and Director Jeff Horing agreed with Smith and Maran that the new interior must harmonize with the Bunshaft celebrated one of the latest New York Projects.

However, there were a lot of challenges to be seen. It all starts with a vision for the Polish to the city and to the allure of a fashion hotel downtown. Another goal was an open, sunny scenario, but private spaces, acoustically isolated had to be carved for the top executives and guests attending powwows. Frosted glass tops workstations for visual texture and, where necessary, seclusion.

To balance the seriousness of finance with the desired groove dowtown, SmithMaran worked his savvy. Built-in benches and stools, mirror and wall covering flax contribute a sense of hospitality that often lack of office interiors today. Sports seat carefully selected fabrics and leathers.
New York projects are known only by their seriousness, but its beauty!
