NAICCA Collection’s ultimate inspiration is the Giant Crystal Cave in Mexico. ‘The Sistine Chapel of crystals‘, as it is known. The cave was discovered in 2000 by two miners excavating a new tunnel, buried a thousand feet (300 meters) below Naica mountain in the Chihuahuan Desert. The cave contains some of the giant natural crystals ever found: fine gypsum beams up to 36 feet (11 meters) long and weighing up to 55 tons.
