The new interior plan brought back the industrial feel, with large open rooms and high ceilings.
Casa Burés is one of Barcelona’s most stunning modernist gems, situated at the crossroads of Ausiàs March and Girona streets. It was designed by Francesc Berenguer I Mestres, a close collaborator of Antoni Gaud, between 1900 and 1905.
Casa Burés’ interior design project involves the idea, definition, and execution of three-unit typologies: lofts, noble dwellings, and superior flats (which include apartments and attics).
The studio was given the task of transforming a noble, aristocratic, and majestic space into a family home.
Interior architecture project for the Casa Burés’ five attics, which are positioned on the upper floors of a Barcelona modernist building. After rescuing the ancient roofing, two of the attics have been converted into duplexes.
Since 1979, this structure has been classified as cultural heritage with a B degree of protection. As a result, all of the building’s modernist aspects must be restored, conserved, and maintained.
