The first project features more classic interiors in a light, inviting and refreshing home. Completed in 2012, it is an example that classic design doesn’t age. In fact, this design studio gave a contemporary spin on this style, making it modern and joyful, not heavy or dated.
A grand period home was given a new life with an extensive renovation and the addition of a modern family room. There are various details worth mentioning in this project, such as the custom rug in the family living room, designed to give a nod to the era of the home; the entrance cabinet, which is a beautiful vintage find from the same era as the house; and, in the formal sitting room at the front of the house, the reupholstered furniture, that the clients had collected back in their university days from opportunity shops.
An eclectic interior design project with a touch of bohemian and a lot of modernity, this home in Brighton features layers of beautiful textiles, patterns and colours used extensively to create unique and stunning living spaces.

A compact sitting room that packs a punch and a relaxed easy living family room were the interior solutions for this home. The custom-designed sculptured floor rug mirrors the details of the art deco ceiling rose overhead and we are obsessed with it. The art was commissioned to work perfectly with the colours in the room and it was one of the main focuses of this project.
Moody blue tones and sumptuous textiles get people talking in this sitting room and were used here to balance the existing rich red parquetry floors. A large area rug was custom designed for space with a cymatic inspired pattern upon, which in turn created a subtle theme of movement and energy in the space – carried through with the selection of the photographic art of rolling waves, and the vibrant upholstery fabrics.
