Courtney Cohen, founding Principal of Elysienne, is driven by her passion for all things beautiful. Born and raised in Los Angeles, she was educated at USC and UCLA, where she studied interior architecture and design. In addition to her education, Courtney’s extensive travels have greatly influenced her design aesthetic, which she describes as elegant, eclectic designs, sophisticated, and crisp.
At Elysienne, the ultimate goal is to make clients happy, which they do by creating and sharing beauty. They believe that beauty is a force for good. The philosophy is that beautifully designed spaces are beneficial for the people who live there, and their sense of contentment reverberates out into the world, helping to make it a better place.

They work on a wide variety of interior design projects with a range of clients. There is no typical Elysienne client or job. At the same time, they could be in the midst of creating a light-filled interior for a home in Malibu inspired by cherry blossom trees and natural woods, all the while keeping an eye open for elegant design antiques and collectibles for an estate they’re reworking into a French chateau à la 16th-century Paris.
