Taras Bezrukov and Stas Samkovich founded TS Design Studio in 2001. Their wonderful projects serve as Home Design Inspiration for everyone who appreciates modern interior design and who likes interiors architecture. Top designers are engaged in designing interiors of private apartments, restaurants, offices and houses. Unique interiors of this creative team are distinguished by simplicity of shape and at the same time their elegance. We got the chance for an exclusive interview with the TS Design team, in which the designers will share their inspiration and some interior design tips.

1. What was your biggest motivation to become an interior designer?

Taras – “Initially, I studied at an art school, then entered architectural university. Then I planned to deal only with architecture. But it’s all a matter of a chance. Working in one of the studios, we did projects of houses, of course, clients offered to design interiors for them. In the course of work, interiors began to prevail over orders in architecture, completely occupying the creative space. “`

Stas – “In the design industry, I came from the financial and economic sphere. Once I decided to change my job to a more dynamic, creative one. I got a job in the design studio as a project manager. There, completely immersed in the creative environment, I decided to expand my knowledge and skills. Then we organised our studio in which we work as a full-fledged creative unit. ”

2. What do you like the most about your job?

Firstly, it’s all in the development of the concept and idea. This is the most difficult and exciting moment. Ideas cannot be born immediately, sometimes you have to search a long time to reach the perfection. But when you find what you need, it gives you a lot of fun, because the idea creates the whole project.

3. What was the most extraordinary project you have ever worked on?

All projects are unusual for us: each of them has their own destiny and history.

4. Where do you get your design inspiration from?

Inspiration is a strange thing, it cannot be found “by formula.” It can come by chance, and it may not come for months. We just try to be multi-faceted, for example, watch different films, read magazines, go to different exhibitions and visit unusual, less-touristic places and countries.

5. If you had a chance to create an interior house design for a celebrity / a historical person, who it would be and why?

The interior for a celebrity is not interesting for us because style and role of this person will influence the design. It is much more interesting to create an interior for a person with a rich and interesting inner world. It has nothing to do with the status and fame. Actually, it’s not important if our client is a celebrity or not.

6. Do you have favourite materials, brands which you like most to work with?

I do not like to label brands. All of them are good, but it happens sometimes that products of one brand are preferable for the certain project than other ones. The same goes for materials.

7. What international events and exhibitions do you like to attend?

I usually visit Maison & Objet and ISaloni.

8. Which tendencies in the world of house design interior are waiting for us in the next 5 years? What do you think?

Perhaps materials and technologies will be more environmentally friendly, as more and more manufacturers pay attention to this. A brand that manages to combine eco materials with new technologies, while simultaneously introducing revolutionary and absolutely new approaches to simple things in design, will succeed in the future.

9. What is your favourite interior decoration style?

I prefer modern, light and moderately eclectic style.

10. Portuguese brands are among trends nowadays. What are our thoughts about them, taking BRABBU as an example?

BRABBU is a bright and emotional brand, with a specific character and a southern temperament.
