Maison et Objet 2017 will take place in Paris, from the 20th to the 24th of January. The furniture show is a leading design event for interior designers, architects and design lovers to keep up with the latest design trends. However, design is not the only thing that Paris has to offer. The city has many cultural attractions, luxurious shopping areas and an incredible nightlife, but the time you have is always short to see everything. So, BRABBU tells you what to do in Paris in 24 hours, for you to enjoy the city and have time to visit the furniture show.

Start the day at Musée d’Orsay for an Impressionist masterclass. The Musée d’Orsay, originally a train station designed by Victor Laloux in 1900, houses a huge collection spanning the period between 1848 and 1914, and is home to a profusion of works by Delacroix, Corot, Manet, Renoir, Pissarro, Gauguin, Monet, Caillebotte, Cézanne, Van Gogh, Toulouse-Lautrec and others.
Following, head towards Notre-Dame. The cathedral was constructed between 1163 and 1334, and the amount of time and money spent on it reflected the city’s growing prestige. The west front remains a high point of Gothic art for the balanced proportions of its twin towers and rose window, and the three doorways with their rows of saints and sculpted tympanums: the Last Judgement (centre), Life of the Virgin (left) and Life of St Anne (right). Inside, take a moment to admire the long nave with its solid foliate capitals and high altar with a marble Pietà by Coustou.
Before continuing to explore the city, pull up two green chairs (using one as a footrest) and size up the park life.
Now that you have charged your batteries, it is time to continue to explore Paris. Palais de Tokyo is the next where to go to place. However, you can skip this one and go straight to Eiffel Tower.
At the end of the day, eat a croissant and enjoy a warm coffee at Café Le Rostand.
