Minotti , one of the biggest italian design brands, strategically enhances its presence in the chinese market through the opening of a new flagship store in Shanghai, the fourth in China after those in Beijing, Qingdao and Hong Kong. This Shanghai showrooom was created in partnership with Domus Tiandi, a prominent name in  the asian design community and a partner in the Minotti Beijing flagship store. The exclusive address is located in the lively but chic Huangpu district, known as the “French Quarter”, just a few steps from the Opera House. A major renovation of the building was required to accommodate the lavish space of more than 1300 sq meters, an exhibit area that makes Minotti Shanghai the largest Minotti furniture flagship store in the world.

The building’s unique circular design and floor-to-ceilling windows highlight its elegantly ethereal personality, while the upper floor features sophisticated wood-strip paneling. Benefiting from the vast experience gained in many years of partnership with architect Rodolfo Dordoni, the Minotti Studio team crafted a visually striking interior.

Every detail of the decor was meticulously manicured to create an overall, lasting impression on visitors while totally conveying the essence of its italian design lifestyle. The materials used are in perfect harmony with the brand’s mood: the floors are in resin and wood; walls plastered in an elegant shade of grey alternate with warm wood paneling, which follows the curved lines of the upper floor. A two-sided fireplace clad in traverline and a second mirror-clad fireplace lend an air of refined elegance to the settings. Centerpiece is the dramatic metal staircase that leads from the ground floor to the floor above, which contains an area dedicated to the outdoor collection and the business offices.

The vast showroom area made it possible to showcase both the 2014 and 2015 collections along with the company’s best-selling itens. Thanks to the opening of Minotti Shanghai by Domus Tiandi, the company further strengthens its stronghold in a rapidly expanding market; one that is more and more receptive to design products featuring refined style and proven quality.
