Being announced as the European Destination in 2017, Porto is a versatile city that matches an urban attitude with innovation and creativity. Although most buildings preserve their old façades, maintaining the city’s charm and essence, interiors follow modern style, characterised by newness, easy lines and comfort: after all, people from Porto just want a nice atmosphere to relax with a glass of Port wine.

Best Room Wins (2019) Amazon
Hosted by interior design Genevieve Gorder, this show challenges, in each episode, two top interior designers to a full room makeover, that must capture the client’s luxury vision while staying within a $25,000 budget. The rooms will be judged by Gorder, Whitney Robinson, ELLE Decor Editor-in-Chief, and a rotating guest judge, that will determine how well each designer executed their rooms and created a multi-million-dollar look for their clients based on three criteria: the overall appeal of the design; how far they were able to stretch their budget; and client satisfaction.

It started in 1984 as a conference where technology, entertainment and design converged, but nowadays it covers almost all topics in more than 110 languages. This global community welcomes people who seek a deeper understanding of the world, with the world’s most inspired thinkers to share ideas that can change attitudes, lives and, most importantly, the world.
