NY NOW: 2018’s Summer Edition

New York’s Jacob K. Javits Center has been hosting NY NOW since Sunday’s August 12th. Running for four days, an array of home and lifestyle products are on display throughout the four levels of the sprawling convention complex.

With ICFF’s director Kevin O’Keefe running things, NY NOW – formerly known as the New York International Gift Fair – is looking to be the number one event in the retail market.

In the mist of Summer, NY NOW marks an opportunity for exhibitors to show off their most recent work and to be in the front when the market starts to stir in anticipation of the holiday season. Twice a year, plenty of exhibitors gather together to offer the best design solutions in the three main collections: home, lifestyle and handmade.

“Retail buying is becoming something very different,” O’Keefe says. “Millennials and generation Y & Zers seek unique experiences and inspiration where they shop—or they won’t shop there. They make purchases as an expression of their individuality.”

The trade show welcomes new world-class design exhibitors, like Artek, Kartell, Vitra and Tom Dixon – names capable of reflecting the organization’s desire to elevate the attendee experience.

While 2018 was a year of re-invention for the fair, the Winter Edition (running from February 3rd till February 5th, 2019) is a promise for even more changes and surprises.
