Memorial Day kicks off the unofficial start to summer and before traveling and planning any getaway vacations, the United States stop in celebration.
Year after year, Las Vegas out does itself when it comes to the Memorial Day Weekend. With many pool parties, new nightclubs and every DJ that the city could slip in spinning, many traveled to the City of Sin for an unforgettable weekend. This year, Las Vegas welcomed the Chainsmokers, Calvin Harris, Travis Scott, David Guetta, DJ Khaled and Kygo. But if you’re only making it to the Gambling Capital today, you’re still on time to catch Marshmello and Steve Aoki’s sets.
Considered bigger than the Superbowl by many, The Urban Beach Week is the largest Urban Festival in the world. On Memorial Day Weekend, South Beach welcomes the Hip Hop Generation for 4 days full of fun, food, festivities, entertainment and lots of music.

Every year around Memorial Day, hundreds of artists from New York and around the world gravitate to Washington Square to exhibit their wares. A spread of jewelry, metal work, ceramics, graphics, oils and acrylics are laid out for art lovers to choose from. Tourists, collectors, students and teachers crowd this sidewalk show from University Place at 13th Street to the West 3rd Street to immerse themselves in day full of craft and color.
Brooklyn Memorial Day Parade
In its 151st year, the Catholic war veterans lead Brooklyn service organizations in honor of fallen soldiers and their families. Sponsored by the United Military Veterans of Kings County, the ceremony kicks off at 11 am on Third Avenue and 78th Street in Bay Ridge and ends with a 21-gun salute by the U.S. Army at Fort Hamilton. A respectful and traditional parade that celebrate all those who died while in service.
But Memorial Day doesn’t have to end right there! A great after party kicks off in New York City in the form of Spring Market on Wednesday 30th of May. May ends the right way with a call to visit the city’s most emblematic building – when it comes to design – to celebrate DDB Spring Market 2018!
With the theme – Al Fresco; Inside Out – many showrooms within all 18 floors of the Decoration & Design Building joined forces to give its visitors an out of mind experience. The right day to explore the way to take comfort and elegance from a typical interior design and transport them into the outside space.
May 30th is also the day to visit Lladró Showroom and see not only their debuting side table collection but also BRABBU‘s pieces at the showroom.
