Massoni
At the neo-Italian restaurant inside the Arlo NoMad Hotel, chef Dale Talde is welcoming 2017 with a prix fixe dinner that includes items like tater tots with mascarpone and caviar, a white-truffle–and–egg pizza and rigatoni with king crab alla vodka sauce. Dinner will be served from 6pm to 7:30pm for $150 per person (drink pairings included), and 8pm to 10pm for $250 a person, including a champagne toast on the hotel’s rooftop at midnight and an open-bar dance party until 2am. Are you imagine yourself at this restaurant with design wise? Massoni offers the perfect mixture of the elegance of Arlo, the grit of Manhattan, and the colourful personalities of the Three Kings.
Agern
The holiday menu at this Nordic tasting-menu restaurant is an elaborate affair—10 courses for $195 during the 5:30pm seatings and a dozen courses for $225 during the 8:30pm seatings—with composed plates such as langoustine with pine and onions, and venison with caramelized cream and juniper berries. About the design: you will find the adequated light in every corner of the restaurant.
Flora Bar
The Estela team’s uptown dining room is offering six courses for $165 on New Year’s Eve. Expect tuna tartare with black truffles and duck breast with chestnuts. For those that are trying to find a large space, it is the best place to choose.
Tapestry
Michelin-starred chef Suvir Saran sticks to his fusion-friendly brand of Indian cooking for his four-course New Year’s menu ($85), which includes a gratis glass of champagne and optional wine pairings ($30). Dishes range from scallops and caviar with kabocha puree and blood-orange beurre blanc to paneer croquettes with grilled figs and tamarind chutney. The Williamsburg rookie is adding a handful of festive a la carte specials to its regular menu for New Year’s Eve, stuff like a wood-roasted lobster for two and lobster raclette custard. For the rustic lovers, it restaurant will make you feel at home.
