At this historic London townhouse, the famous interior designer blend of modern interior design, using contemporary furniture and textiles combines with period architectural features to reflect the mix of old and new that really shows London’s style and personality. The original ceiling moldings and antique fireplaces of this living room interior design were central to the concept. It was important to maintain these heritage details, and also bring them into enhance them with sympathetic interior design trough the modern home furnishings.
Eric Kuster Metropolitan Luxury collaborated with Kabaz Architects on this exquisite residential project in the Netherlands. This villa was completely rebuilt and renovated, and the owner requested a strong glamorous look for his home design inspiration. To achieve this, Eric Kuster Metropolitan Luxury brought together their interior design prowess and beautiful design furniture in one incredible concept.
This expansive penthouse apartment project layout by Kuster and his team was develoeby them, including all finishes and furniture, so everything you see has the Eric Kuster signature. Everything in this home had to take on equally grand proportions, from sofas to tables and televisions to fireplaces. Take a look at the two amazing large fireplaces encased in glass stretch either side of the HDTV in the main living room, which is decked in shades of grey and silver! De Librije restaurant is located within the walls of the old Zwolle City Prison. Eric Kuster has transformed this historic, and austere setting into a high-end hospitality hotspot. The functional aesthetic has been kepped, but transformed in a contemporary beauty and stylish set. A vast vaulted glass ceiling shelters the dining room from the elements, while velvet chairs, leather banquettes and a plush carpet add warmth to this outstanding place. From the large white tree trunks that offer a resting place for as-yet-unworn stilettos to the mirrored walls that create the illusion of space in the small boutique Mykonos Fashion Store, everything serves to amplify the clothing and accessories on display, including Kuster’s own collections of shoes and leather jackets. This elegant 60ft yacht, designed by Eric Kuster uses the natural light that floods through the windows to reflect off the bronze. Cream and platinum textiles that cover cushions, sofas, beds and walls, lights up the dark wood surrounds and brings to mind the shimmering surface of the sea.
From every textile to each piece of furniture, and each artwork to every colour combination, craftsmanship is key. This Top Interior Designer says of his work: “There is a signature, but every project is bespoke like creating a haute couture dress or tailored suit. It has to be the perfect fit. I do not do copy and paste.”
