Have you ever dreamed about dining at Versailles Palace? And what about staying there for a weekend? Soon it will not be a dream! Expected to open in 2018, a restaurant and hotel will be part of the many attractions that the palace has to offer. Paris will have another restaurant for you to add to your Places to eat list.

The Versailles palace hired Michelin-starred chef Alain Ducasse as part of a team that will transform a portion of the palace into an hotel and restaurant. Versailles will certainly become one of best restaurants in Paris, as Chef Ducasse is known for luxurious dishes— say, caviar – topped langoustine.

The buildings under consideration have been empty since 2008 and cover over 30,000 square feet in the southeast area of the royal property. Are you imagining the dining room interior design? Even if it is not as luxurious as the Hall of Mirrors, it will certainly blew our minds aways. And it will not be for most wallets, that is for sure!

What about a walk on the magical gardens, after the meal? There are a lot to see and appreciate. From magical fountains to Marie Antoinette’s hidden places.
