Interior designer Eric Cohler known for combining 18th- and 20th-century furniture with a modern sensibility, took on a project on a Manhattan triplex featuring a guest room and kitchenette on the first floor, entertaining areas on the parlor floor, and three bedrooms on the third level. Eric Cohler’s project gives us some living room inspiration as the modern sofas that will be a must have in 2016.

Highlights from Eric Cohler’s project include high ceilings, three fireplaces, and abundant windows for the modern interior design, among them two sets of French doors opening onto Juliet balconies with views of Gramercy Park’s gated greenery.

Wales – Sofa

The interior designer had the function of each room in mind, from cozy sitting room design to a bright library and serene bedroom. The living room inspiration was taken from neutral background tones, while the library is painted a glossy persimmon. There is also a sound-deadening layer of cotton batting under the wall upholstery, while the only interactive element is the fireplace.
