Fifty Shades of Grey Press Premiere at BERLINALE 2015

The Berlin Film Festival opened on February 5th, however last night was definitely the hottest topic discussed globally as Fifty Shades of Grey premiered for the press in the German capital.

The movie had no mercy for the many journalists who were all gathered one full hour before showtime, and were left to fight for their tickets and seats, what looks like a preview of this weekend public opening.

The two protagonists Dakota Johnson and Jamie Dornan were obviously the cherry-on-the-red-carpet, followed by director Sam Taylor-Johnson and author E. L. James.

Fifty Shades of Grey has been mildly criticized by the press so far but has also been praised for being better than the original books. The movie pre-sold 4.5million tickets in the markets of France, UK and Germany, and will officially be released this Valentine’s weekend in 57 countries.

Despite its highly erotic content many countries are ready for the huge amount of people that starting this weekend will go to the movies to see Anstasia and Mister Grey‘s passion unfold on the big screen.

The original books were a trilogy and the movies are likely to follow the original story line. The Fifty Shades of Grey movie, does in fact end abruptly and leaves plenty of room for more international frenzy around the future releases. However, for now we will line up to see this first part and will look forward to the next chapters in the erotic saga.
