Fox-Nahem Associates\u2019 Studio<\/h1>\n\n\n\n

Joe and his late business partner, Tom Fox, were born and raised in New York City and founded Fox-Nahem Associates<\/strong> in their early twenties. After three decades of expertise, Joe and his dedicated team have established a network of loyal partners that assist them in bringing their creative designs, which are unique to each project, to reality. He curates rare vintage artifacts and collaborates with artists, craftspeople, and artisans from all over the world, changing with the times without succumbing to trends.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Fox-Nahem Associates<\/strong> is a small, hands-on organization that cares about its clients. Many clients return for subsequent projects once we use judgment to preserve their privacy. 1. Robert A.M. Stern Townhouse in West Village, NYC<\/strong><\/h4>\n\n\n\n

Robert A.M. Stern <\/strong>designed this recently built townhouse in Manhattan\u2019s West Village<\/strong>. Fox-Nahem Associates<\/strong> reimagined the five-story home, adding texture, warmth, shape, and color while keeping the client\u2019s significant art collection in mind.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

2. Puck Building Penthouse in NYC<\/strong><\/h4>\n\n\n\n

This new penthouse was built atop NYC\u2019s renowned Puck Building, designed by architect Jose Ramirez<\/strong>. Fox-Nahem<\/strong> Associates <\/strong>was tasked with rearranging the spaces and creating a welcoming and comfortable atmosphere for a young family.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

3. Paul Rudolph Townhouse in Greenwich Village, NYC<\/strong><\/h4>\n\n\n\n

Paul Rudolph redesigned this historic nineteenth-century mansion in the 1970s. The new owners enlisted Fox-Nahem Associates to work with Steven Harris Architects on a total gut renovation that preserved much of Rudolph\u2019s original design character.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

4. The Dakota Building in NYC<\/h4>\n\n\n\n

For the Fox-Nahem Associates<\/strong> team, the opportunity to tackle \u201cNew Traditional\u201d in one of NYC\u2019s most prominent buildings was a welcome one. The idea was to create a place that seemed lighter and more contemporary while still keeping the formal grandeur that the space was designed to have.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

5. NYC Residence<\/h4>\n\n\n\n

FN took a fairly \u201cvanilla\u201d undistinguished room and elevated it by adding layers of architectural and finish detail for a NYC full-floor apartment owned by a second-time client. Plaster wall finishes, fluted walnut paneling, and new bathrooms were supplemented by custom-created and found vintage pieces, which eliminated any generic, spec-apartment quality that may have existed previously.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

6. Greenwich Residence<\/strong><\/h4>\n\n\n\n

A young, energetic family sought FN to remodel the interiors of their vast, historic Greenwich home to more truly reflect their current interests, which included a significant contemporary art collection and extremely conventional furnishings. This 10,000-square-foot home was meticulously cleaned from top to bottom. FN expertly produced a highly personal space marked by elegance, timelessness, and a splash of fun by seamlessly mixing refined vintage pieces, unique designs, and commissioned artisan pieces. Finally, FN achieved a nice equilibrium between art and interior design.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

7. Gramercy Park Penthouse<\/strong><\/h4>\n\n\n\n

Fox-Nahem Associates<\/strong> designed a Gramercy Park penthouse for a single father that is as exquisitely made as a bespoke suit and just as comfy.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

8. Annabelle Selldorf Beach House<\/strong><\/h4>\n\n\n\n

Annabelle Selldorf and Fox-Nahem Associates<\/strong> were enlisted by a New York gallery owner and his family to design a Hamptons retreat where their blue-chip art collection could shine.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

9. Robert Downey Jr. Windmill \u2018Cottage\u2019 in East Hampton, NY<\/strong><\/h4>\n\n\n\n
