Having worked as a wedding planner, the designer discovered how strong her love for interior design is, which led her to explore aesthetics and invest in a new path.\u00a0It gave her extensive know-how, as well as the possibility to be inspired by different cultures, considering she has travelled a lot. Home\u2019Society <\/a><\/strong>believes that talking, discussing, and exploring ideas together is essential to the design<\/a><\/strong> process. The goal is to create a platform with a new vision of macro<\/strong><\/a> <\/strong>and micro <\/strong>trends within the industry, generating added value for the design lover<\/a><\/strong> community. These design talks include interviews <\/a><\/strong>with interior designers<\/a><\/strong>, architects<\/a><\/strong>, and showrooms <\/a><\/strong>to discover and discuss trending and the creative process.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Theodora Kaya<\/strong>\u2018s immense love for travelling granted her the experience she was looking for. She acknowledges that places are not mere locations of visitation, but rather the source of an immaculate source of inspiration. The designer showed us how Stockholm has her heart, for it is a city that holds no borders \u2013 a city so innovative that it keeps people\u2019s lives, at all times, refreshed. This ended up being an inspiration to the designer, and she tries her best to have this inclusiveness in her work. This inclusiveness is what appeals to clients. Theodora remembered the time one of her customers gave her a blank canvas to work on her project, allowing her to use her inspirations from scratch. When someone trusts you with your work, you feel professionally worthy, and it makes a designer feel honoured and proud. As Theodora says, The client had a blind date with his house, which turned out to be love at first sight. This is every designer\u2019s dream \u2013 complete freedom of creativity.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Theodora Kaya\u2019s Current Focus<\/strong> <\/h2>\n\n\n\n

When talking about her current focus, she shared that she is building a team to specialise in a contract project<\/a><\/strong>. The aim is to work on hotels, however, the corona crisis has its impact on the fulfilment of international projects. Nonetheless, Theodora does not give up and intends to make her dreams come true. In parallel with her work, the designer created an online shop called Idora Home. It sells products for decoration that transmit completely her taste in design and style. It has worked wonders, and customers that see the shop will often try to contact the company and have a personalized treatment. This also helps her to grow and learn.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

<\/strong>I<\/strong><\/b><\/span>nspirations and Motivations <\/strong>\n<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

Theodora Kaya\u00a0<\/strong>got in touch with Home\u2019Society <\/strong>at a fair in Paris, the Maison et Objet<\/a><\/strong>. The brand\u2019s products give her the possibility of creating a \u2018wow\u2019 effect, as they are an eye-catcher. The fact that these products are timeless and it stay in memory truly resonates with her. She is currently enamoured by minimalism and the elegant direction it can have. Mixes of marble and wood create a sophisticated environment and it is a sight to behold.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The designer assured that over the years the costumer\u2019s tastes did not really change much, but they are willing to pay more for quality. Her clients seek to have minimalist space with a statement piece in it, such as gold or marble. It shows that they value quality over quantity. Theodora Kaya\u00a0<\/strong>ended our interview by sharing that designers should stay true to themselves. When they follow their heart it leads to the creating of exclusiveness and something special. To feel inspired and to be inspired is exceedingly important.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
