India Mahdavi<\/em><\/span><\/strong> is an architect and interior designer who founded her studio in 1999 and opened her first showroom in 2003; she quickly became one of the best in her field and a true design inspiration for many. Born in Iran<\/span>, and based in Paris<\/span>, the designer takes any material from wood, ceramic, metal and lacquer combining them into playful ad captivating interiors and magnificent home decor.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Villa Des Alyscamps<\/span> remodels the hospitable retreat to an ideal; in this mineral and spacious environment, India Mahdavi <\/strong>infused modernity and colour as she played with patterns, tones and textures.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Project: Ladur\u00e9e Beverly Hills, Los Angeles<\/strong><\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n

Ladur\u00e9e Beverly Hills is a sweet garden that celebrates the mix use of the French groves and \u2018Gourmandise\u2019; India Mahdavi <\/strong>defined a language and a three-dimensional identity which resumes the notion of the garden with a lattice, a pastel colour pallet that alludes to maracons and a checkered floor that evokes a winter garden.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Designed for Jean-Francois Pi\u00e9ge, the Thoumieux was conceived to be a private dining room, it is an epicurean and joyful place in which the atmosphere is reminiscent of Chabrol\u2019s or Sautet\u2019s films. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Project: I Love Paris by Guy Martin <\/strong><\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n

This airport restaurant was conceived in order to maintain the feeling that we were still in Paris whilst overlooking the runway to the aircraft procession. Ensuing this collaboration with the starred chef Guy Martin,<\/strong> emerged a warm, delicate and luxurious interlude at the heart of the terminal 2E and received the award for Best Airport Restaurant in the World from FAB Awards 2016<\/span>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Project: Le Germain, Paris<\/strong><\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n

Le Germain<\/span> was India Mahdavi<\/strong>\u2018s first project in Paris<\/span>, opening its doors in 2009; the restaurant revives the Parisian bistro creatively and recreationally with a pixelated floor and a graphically illuminated ceiling, anis green and orange tones around a 5-meter yellow metal statue. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Project: Le Caf\u00e9 Fran\u00e7ais, Paris<\/strong><\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n

The Caf\u00e9 Fran\u00e7ais is located on the Bastille Square and embodies the new version of a brasserie in a fluctuating neighbourhood. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

In collaboration with Joseph Dirand<\/strong>, India Mahdavi<\/strong> redefined the codes of a five-star mountain hotel. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Project: At the Connaught, London<\/strong><\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n

With a soft palette of lavender, grey and dune tones, the Connaught appears new and timeless. Having reused the hotel\u2019s furniture, India Mahdavi <\/strong>reupholstered all these elements to reveal a contemporary vision.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Project: The Claridge\u2019s, London<\/strong><\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n

In this hotel, India Mahdavi<\/strong> transposed tradition into a joyful ad colour statement; the ambience created from the selection of textiles to the wallpaper, breathe a new life into an emblematic place.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

India Mahdavi<\/strong>\u2018s interiors and furniture are really energetic for she uses colours and shapes that are defined by her own creative and imaginative world. She has already conceived many places, bars, restaurants, retails, clubs and hotels \u2013 from the Hotel Du Cloitre in Arles or the Monte Carlo Beach Hotel in Monaco<\/span>-, to the Gallery at Sketch in London or Ladur\u00e9e in Los Angeles and Tokyo, India Mahdavi<\/strong> imposes herself on the contemporary scene in a singular, eclectic and nomadic manner, celebrating an oriental pop in the west.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
