Project: Carved in Stone<\/strong><\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n

This project is inspired by a southern European style; overlooking Barton Creek, the spacious home radiates receptive old-world elegance through cosy furnishings and mottled-stone walls. Every space is comfortable and still stylish, having eliminated the concepts of formal and informal from the interiors.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Project: Lighten Up<\/strong><\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n

The client wanted a light design so the studio used lighter than expected stains and a stone flooring with a fog-like colour; the furnishings are a gathering of neutrals interwoven with a thread of blue through the home \u2013 due to this, the interiors have an easy feeling in attitude and youthful spirit.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Project: Blanco Ranch<\/strong><\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n

A recent renovation of an underachieving \u201870\u2019s-era ranch house is a testament to the magic that happens when an interior designer and a savvy client collaborate. For their seventh project \u2013the Blanco River ranch house\u2013 Marcus Mohon <\/strong>served as both interior designer and architect. The native stone-clad clunker sat on a tributary that flows into the Blanco Ranch, with the river\u2019s crystal waters and cypresses creating a parklike setting that\u2019s the epitome of Hill Country bliss.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

This project combines French Modernism with Contemporary Design; the walls in the bedrooms and baths were torn down in order to create an open floor plan, whilst combining materials that would be both elegant and livable.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Project: Villa Romanza<\/strong> <\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n

Influenced by the landscape of the Texas Hill Country, which rolls up to the edge of Austin, the house was designed along a meandering axis that follows the ridge of the site. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

By the Sea<\/strong> project combines the perfect harmony between interior design and architecture design; it has a largely British Colonial interior within a Dutch Colonial-inspired exterior.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The house was special even in the beginning and the magic only increased through design and construction as Marcus Mohon Interiors<\/strong> chose to leave the interior structure exposed and finished it as if it had been in the salt air for decades.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Project: Southern Living Idea House<\/strong> <\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n

Inspired by Mediterranean villas, the Idea House sits humbly a short way down an inlet of Texas\u2019 Lake LBJ. Its location at the water\u2019s edge makes one wonder if to jump in for a dip or not. And that nearness to the water is like a siren song, drawing out those who dwell there. The studio used a cool pallet of sandy neutrals and watery blue-greens to provide a sense of freshness from the heat outside.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Marcus Mohon Interiors<\/strong> have designed projects from coast to coast, and the Texas perspective, allows Marcus Mohon <\/strong>to combine the urban and the rural, the elegant and the humble, the refined and the rough.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
