Ken Fulk<\/em><\/strong><\/span>,<\/em>\u00a0<\/strong>one of the best American interior designers, has been creating talk-of-the-town residences in\u00a0Silicon Valley<\/strong>\u00a0for more than two decades. It is the case of a model residence he designed for The Harrison<\/strong>, a recently opened 298-unit luxury condominium<\/strong> building in the SOMA neighbourhood<\/strong> of San Francisco. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Harrison<\/a><\/strong> calls its lobby the Grand Salon<\/strong> for a good reason \u2013 due to its gorgeous cerused-oak walls and built-in shelves. The real showstopper<\/strong>, though, is the exquisite floor<\/strong>, which was inspired by Fulk<\/a><\/strong>\u2019s trip to India. \u201cI saw all these intricate, beautiful patterns in palaces. They felt old yet modern,\u201d <\/em>he says. The shiny patchwork floor in this space is made up of three different types of marble.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Drop-dead views of the Bay Bridge<\/strong> take centre stage in the\u00a0luxury living room\u00a0of The Harrison\u2019s model residence. Ken Fulk<\/strong> chose a neutral palette<\/strong> to allow for better appreciation of the breathtaking panoramas.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In this\u00a0contemporary living room<\/a><\/strong>\u00a0decor, he wanted the beauty inside to rival the beauty outside. \u201cThe default would have been to make it all about the view,\u201d<\/em> he says. \u201cInstead, I wanted a space to live up to it.\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n\n \"BB_Book2020\"<\/a>\n\n\n\n
