Dimore Studio<\/span><\/em><\/strong>\u00a0is definitely a hot name regarding Milan\u2019s top interior designers, as well as the\u00a0top designers of Italy\u00a0as a whole. The lovely\u00a0apartment\u00a0is located on a late-19th-century building which was found by both\u00a0Emiliano Salci and Britt Moran\u00a0in October. The pair would end up moving there less than 10 months later. As they have explained to Vogue:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cWe had no structural work to do since we were determined to retain as much of the history of the place as possible (\u2026)We updated the electrical wiring but that was about it. We kept everything else, right down to the door handles and the servants\u2019 bells.\u201d<\/p><\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n

Many elements of this lovely historical home were preserved by the duo of\u00a0designers. The whole space had remained untouched since the 1930s, and when the air moved in they made sure that it would preserve all the hallmarks of the baronial revival then in vogue.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cWe have a lot of heated discussions about colours, patterns, things like that, but I need his opinion as much as he needs mine about certain things. Finding the common ground is what makes everything work.\u201d<\/p><\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n

The best way to define the interiors of the house, in general, is by acknowledging the inspirations behind the mindset of the designers when revamping the home. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

\"Dimore<\/a><\/figure>\n\n\n\n

Among them, we can include Gio Ponti\u2019s\u00a0sensual modernism,\u00a0the aristo-boho glamour\u00a0of decorator Gabriella Crespi and a touch of the influences of the Italian film industry, specifically from names such as\u00a0Fellini, Antonioni, and Visconti.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Some of the highlights found inside of the home include the furniture in Moran\u2019s room. This includes a\u00a0serpentine bedhead by\u00a0Luciano Frigerio, a\u00a0mirror by\u00a0Gio Ponti, a low table by Alvar Aalto and even a\u00a0dressing chair\u00a0by Carlo Mollino.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

A few changes were applied by the founders of\u00a0Dimore Studio<\/strong>\u00a0to give a whole new life to this\u00a0beautiful house.
