Founded in 2012 by\u00a0Diana Quintero Vallejo and Ismael Bachri, this\u00a0exclusive design\u00a0and production workshop called\u00a0Nomade Atelier<\/strong>\u00a0counts with a team of\u00a0distinguished artisans, architects, and visual artists. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cWe love that we can be creative together, that we can imagine an object, or space and then start talking about it, looking for inspiration, work one on one with the exchange of ideas that are very personal and come from very special places in our visual culture\u201d<\/p><\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n

Originally from France,\u00a0Ismael Bachri\u00a0moved to the busy Mexico city to pursue his dream of becoming a\u00a0renowned designer. \u201cI am very happy and proud to have achieved one of the most important goals for me, but I hope to be young enough in mind to say that I have not achieved everything.\u201d <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Through this crazy life-changing experience, the founder of\u00a0Nomade Atelier<\/strong>\u00a0faced several obstacles in her journey when he decided to quit his job in an\u00a0architecture office\u00a0and move to a country where he had to learn a new language. \u201cI overcame it by working with Diana and finding this creativity synergy where we\u00a0had no limits or fears\u201d, explained\u00a0Bachri.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

On the other hand,\u00a0Diana Quintero Vallejo\u00a0main obstacle was to forget her old professional habits and routines, to embrace new challenges and learn new production methods and \u201clanguages\u201d in the\u00a0design industry.\u00a0The co-founder of the renowned\u00a0Nomade Atelier<\/strong>\u00a0confesses that she <\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cAlways liked to work and learn new media, so little by little I was overcoming the fear of the new challenges that arose, and of course, I wasn\u2019t alone I had the best partner to do it\u201d. <\/p><\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n

Luckily\u00a0Vallejo\u00a0has fulfilled most of her childhood dreams thanks to her hard work and commitment skills. \u201cAlthough I have fewer dreams on the list, I think it is very important to always have dreams to give us drive in life.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n\n \"BB_Book2020\"<\/a>\n\n\n\n

By using Mexican materials of the best quality and the most practical solutions to complement the\u00a0artisanal manufacture\u00a0of each object, the\u00a0Nomade Atelier<\/strong>\u00a0gives special value to work and\u00a0crafts\u00a0that use manual tools and medium machinery. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cIt is one thing that we are still learning, we are not stuck to our social networks because we consider that it takes a lot of time away from what we really care about doing, so we consider ourselves a bit old school in this sense\u201d<\/p><\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n

Always working with a network of local family workshops,\u00a0Nomade Atelier<\/strong>\u00a0is specialised in materials that are falling into disuse due to their synthetic or industrial substitution.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cWe work a lot on residential projects, space planning, and tailor-made pieces. Our main client is someone who already has a certain culture of\u00a0art and design, who appreciates the history, the materials and the quality in the making of each piece. It is someone who wants and values\u00a0each piece as unique.\u201d<\/p><\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n

Inspired by their massive cultural baggage and\u00a0artistic and architectural experiences,\u00a0they believe that their\u00a0signature design style\u00a0is simple yet elegant.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

All of the\u00a0bespoke product designs\u00a0that the\u00a0Nomade Atelier<\/strong>\u00a0team used in their inspiring projects result of their hard work and dedication. \u201cWhen we collaborate with another brand or producer, it is important to know that it is a joint work, where each one puts the best of themselves.\u201d\u00a0 <\/p>\n\n\n\n

When questioned about the most inspirational personalities in the\u00a0design world, the\u00a0Nomade Atelier<\/strong> team didn\u2019t share the same opinion. Ismael considers that Jean Prouv\u00e9 is one of the most inspiring names in the industry thanks to his research in the science of materials, which allowed the development of new technologies, forms, and concepts to create innovative industrial products.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

On the other hand, Diana thinks that Clara Porset, founder of the School of Industrial Design at UNAM, is one of the biggest role models for the new generations since she was the pioneer of\u00a0modern design in Mexico. \u201cShe developed beautiful and comfortable pieces using\u00a0traditional craftsmanship\u00a0in an environment that sought then to identify and reformulate aesthetically, industrially, socially and culturally\u201d, explained\u00a0Diana Vallejo.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

They believe that the line between\u00a0arts and design\u00a0is starting be quite thin, since, in today\u2019s industry the final product has its own narrative (no matter the brand) thanks to the reassessment of design and its production method. \u201cThe design of\u00a0sculptural objects\u00a0with functionality and spaces or renders that are more like paintings than living spaces is very fashionable\u201d, clarified\u00a0Diana Vallejo\u00a0from\u00a0Nomade Atelier<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Currently, the\u00a0Nomade Atelier<\/strong>\u00a0team is working on several new projects with the goal to search for\u00a0new ideas.\u00a0\u201cNew ways of experiencing a piece of\u00a0design\u00a0is in our DNA as a studio and we would love to collaborate with new producers to experiment with new materials and production processes\u201d.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

High-quality craftsmanship\u00a0techniques are one of the biggest foundations of these designers inspiring work. \u201cWe love to think that Italy continues being the leader in terms of\u00a0craftsmanship\u00a0since they have a very old knowledge of all the processes of production of objects of very high quality and their capacity to reinvent these artisan processes from generation to generation in a highly globalised world.\u201d <\/p>\n\n\n\n

For the near future of the design industry, the\u00a0Nomade Atelier<\/strong>\u00a0would like to have a re-evaluation of the artisan, the conscious reduction of fast\u00a0design\u00a0that will return us to the use of natural materials that did not go through a very strong industrial process, without so much waste, that would make Nomade Atelier<\/strong> own fewer objects with more value in itself.<\/p>\n\n\n\n\n \"interior<\/a>\n\n\n\n
