Modern Style has roots in the German and Scandinavian design, and it is connected to the age of machination of the 1920s until the 1950s. The modern style continued to grow into the first half of the 20th century. Modern Style leaves the structural elements of the house exposed, there is an emphasis on horizontal and verticle lines, a celebration of natural light with unadorned windows, natural materials such as unpainted wood, metals, leather and natural fibres with a neutral, natural colour palette.
