Stefano Boeri Architetti \u2013 Milan \/ Italy<\/h1>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.stefanoboeriarchitetti.net\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\" title=\"\">Stefano Boeri<\/a>\u00a0is Italian and is born in 1956 in Milan, the world capital of design. He obtains his master in <em><strong>architecture\u00a0<\/strong><\/em>at the Polytechnic University of Milan and achieves\u00a0his\u00a0Ph.D.\u00a0in\u00a01989 in Venice. Stefano Boeri\u00a0isn\u2019t afraid\u00a0of anything, he is an architect\u00a0but\u00a0he was also the\u00a0redactor of\u00a02 specialized magazines \u2013 one Domus and the other Abitare \u2013 and\u00a0finally, he taught urban planification\u00a0\u00a0at the\u00a0University of Milan. However, what will makes\u00a0him known around the world are those high gardens and huge buildings entirely covered by vegetation that I invite you to discover below :<\/p>\n<p>\u00a0<\/p>\n<figure class=\"thumbnail wp-caption alignnone\" style=\"width: 573px\"><a href=\"https:\/\/www.stefanoboeriarchitetti.net\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\" title=\"\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/i-h2.pinimg.com\/564x\/b1\/d4\/7b\/b1d47bbfde777572abf52e3bb16c590f.jpg\" alt=\"Forest City -\u00a0Liuzhou, Chine\" width=\"563\" height=\"310\"><\/a><figcaption class=\"caption wp-caption-text\">Forest City \u2013\u00a0Liuzhou, Chine<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>The Forest City of Liuzhou in China is the beginning\u00a0of a new world where vegetation and nature took back their rights on the human. Proposed the first time in 2015 for the COP21 conference in Paris, the forest city is currently under construction and will be delivered in 2020. Around 30 000 people will live under this mountain of vegetation. The city is entirely autonomous and propose a z\u00e9or impact on the environment. 40 000 trees will be absorbing 57 tonnes of carbon dioxide and producing 900 tonnes of oxygen every year.<\/p>\n<p>\u00a0<\/p>\n<figure class=\"thumbnail wp-caption alignnone\" style=\"width: 1806px\"><a href=\"https:\/\/www.stefanoboeriarchitetti.net\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\" title=\"\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.stefanoboeriarchitetti.net\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/02\/Nanjing-Vertical-Forest_Stefano-Boeri-Architetti-1.jpg\" alt=\"Jardins verticaux - Nanchino, Jiangsu, Chine\" width=\"1796\" height=\"2048\"><\/a><figcaption class=\"caption wp-caption-text\">Vertical garden \u2013 Nanchino, Jiangsu, Chine<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>This vertical forest is one of the last projects of the Italian architect for the city of Jiangsu in China. Composed of 1 100 trees in total, the complex is composed of 2 towers, the 200 meters one will welcome offices, a museum, and the Green <em><strong>Architecture<\/strong><\/em> School. The second tower is smaller, 108 meters high and will welcome a 247 rooms Hyatt Hotel. The environmental advantages of the buildings are numerous since they will be absorbing 25 tonnes of carbon dioxide and create 60 tonnes of fresh oxygen every year.<\/p>\n<p>\u00a0<\/p>\n<figure class=\"thumbnail wp-caption alignnone\" style=\"width: 879px\"><a href=\"https:\/\/www.stefanoboeriarchitetti.net\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\" title=\"\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.stefanoboeriarchitetti.net\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/02\/UTRECHT_SBA2017_03-2-3.jpg\" alt=\"WonderWood - Utrecht, Netherland\" width=\"869\" height=\"596\"><\/a><figcaption class=\"caption wp-caption-text\">WonderWood \u2013 Utrecht, Netherland<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>Let\u2019s go now to Netherland to discover WonderWood in Utrecht. WonderWood is a project composed of 2 towers, the first one is the work of Stefano Boeri Architetti and the second one is the work of the Dutch architect Roberto Meyer. WonderWood was built to answer the urbanism problematics offering a true lung and fresh air on the middle of the city.<\/p>\n<p>\u00a0<\/p>\n<h1>2. Jacques Rougerie \u2013 Paris \/ France<\/h1>\n<p>Jacques Rougerie is a 21st century Jules Verne. Architect but also an oceanographer, Jacques Rougerie enter the Ecole Nationale des Beaux-Arts at 19 years old and will be trained by personalities such as Auguste Perret. Passionated by the Commandant Jacques-Yves Cousteau and by the first submarines habitats, Jacques Rougerie is today an essential figure concerning sustainable urban development. Here are some of his projects :<\/p>\n<p>\u00a0<\/p>\n<figure class=\"thumbnail wp-caption alignnone\" style=\"width: 574px\"><a href=\"http:\/\/www.rougerie.com\/projects\/visual\/185\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\" title=\"\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/i-h2.pinimg.com\/564x\/9f\/f1\/73\/9ff1735c2fc839b9736b70c478b11d10.jpg\" alt=\"Cit\u00e9 des M\u00e9riens\" width=\"564\" height=\"468\"><\/a><figcaption class=\"caption wp-caption-text\">Cit\u00e9 des M\u00e9riens<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>Looking like a real Manta Ray, the University floating City is meant to welcome professors, students, and searchers with the aim of making research about the ocean. Until 2050, this 90 meters long machine\u00a0welcoming 7 000 people will be following the sentinels\u2019 programs of Sea Orbiter<\/p>\n<p>\u00a0<\/p>\n<figure class=\"thumbnail wp-caption alignnone\" style=\"width: 574px\"><a href=\"http:\/\/www.rougerie.com\/projects\/visual\/185\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\" title=\"\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/i-h2.pinimg.com\/564x\/91\/39\/29\/9139294617dad0fbef7d3d8749fdca55.jpg\" alt=\"Sea Orbiter\" width=\"564\" height=\"797\"><\/a><figcaption class=\"caption wp-caption-text\">Sea Orbiter<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>Sea Orbiter is, in a way, the equivalent of the International Spacial Station, a center exclusively dedicated to oceanographic research. 51 meters high from what 30 meters will be under water and 23.8 meters large, the aluminum and methacrylate structure is entirely autonomous and will allow welcoming 18 oceonots 24h a day and 7 days a week. On Board, new species will be studied, experiences will take place and ludic videos will be recorded and directly transmitted.<\/p>\n<p>\u00a0<\/p>\n<figure class=\"thumbnail wp-caption alignnone\" style=\"width: 1010px\"><a href=\"http:\/\/www.rougerie.com\/projects\/visual\/185\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\" title=\"\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/www.rougerie.com\/projects\/185\/1-Qingdao-1920x930.jpg\" alt=\"Acad\u00e9mies Park -\u00a0Qingdao, Chine\" width=\"1000\" height=\"484\"><\/a><figcaption class=\"caption wp-caption-text\">Acad\u00e9mies Park \u2013\u00a0Qingdao, China<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>The Academies Park of Quingdao in China is a representation of the link between the millennium China and modern China and its connection with the world. The academies of this center are acting like a huge brain generating knowledge. In China, the green dragon is a really strong symbol, it is logic that the building takes the shape of this mythical animal.<\/p>\n<p>\u00a0<\/p>\n<blockquote>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><a href=\"https:\/\/www.brabbu.com\/home\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\" title=\"\">More inspiration &lt;&lt;<\/a><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>\u00a0<\/p>\n<h1>3. Vincent Callebaut \u2013 Paris \/ France<\/h1>\n<p>Vincent Callebaut is an engineering and creative genius! Born in 1977 and from Belgium origins, he leaves the Victor Horta institute graduated in 2000 and win the Godecharle price \u2013 rewarding young Belgium artists \u2013 in 2001, aged 24. Dragonfly, the Heliopolis Bridge or the Tao Zhu Yin Yuan Tower of Taipei, all thos buildings or projects are coming from his delirium mind! Let\u2019s take a look at some of his craziest projects :<\/p>\n<p>\u00a0<\/p>\n<figure class=\"thumbnail wp-caption alignnone\" style=\"width: 574px\"><a href=\"http:\/\/vincent.callebaut.org\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\" title=\"\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/i-h2.pinimg.com\/564x\/f9\/d7\/1f\/f9d71f5d19536d286342a13152fc3f45.jpg\" alt=\"Hydrogenase - China\" width=\"564\" height=\"760\"><\/a><figcaption class=\"caption wp-caption-text\">Hydrogenase \u2013 China<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>The Hydrogenase project is a fiction project that aim to answer a big amount of futur environmental problematics proposing a seaweed farm entierly independant and sustainable. As explained by Vincent Callebaut himself, the floating farm acts like an epuration center and uses greend seaweed to recycle trashs. The farm is entirely autonomous and would allow to clean seas and oceans of our planet and increase at the same time living conditions of the submarine living being.<\/p>\n<p>\u00a0<\/p>\n<figure class=\"thumbnail wp-caption alignnone\" style=\"width: 574px\"><a href=\"http:\/\/vincent.callebaut.org\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\" title=\"\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/i-h2.pinimg.com\/564x\/f0\/34\/99\/f034997314a1de0020497f240af631db.jpg\" alt=\"The Kings Forest - Morocco\" width=\"564\" height=\"317\"><\/a><figcaption class=\"caption wp-caption-text\">The Kings Forest \u2013 Morocco<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>The Kings Forest is a private fictive project taking place in Morocco and that aim to complete fusion with the surrounding nature by looking like giant leaves. Giving to the visitors the feeling to be alone of earth at the bow of a boat with a panoramic view on the mountains, those houses are in complete synchronization with nature allowing a natural contact with animals and vegetation around.<\/p>\n<p>\u00a0<\/p>\n<figure class=\"thumbnail wp-caption alignnone\" style=\"width: 730px\"><a href=\"http:\/\/vincent.callebaut.org\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\" title=\"\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/static.callebaut.org\/static\/vca\/images\/vincent\/projects\/050925_geneve\/thumb\/geneve_pl007.jpg\" alt=\"Geneva 2020\" width=\"720\" height=\"509\"><\/a><figcaption class=\"caption wp-caption-text\">Geneva 2020<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>A maximum of water, a maximum of vegetation, here is how to define the project Geneva 2020 by Vincent Callebaut. The objective is to make free 220 ha of industrial space for a project called Landscript. The concrete is, as a matter of fact, covering the entire space which is a good example of urban invasion.<\/p>\n<p>\u00a0<\/p>\n<h1>4. OXO Architectes \u2013 Montreuil \/ France<\/h1>\n<p>OXO Architectes is the agency created by Manal Rachdi with the aim of\u00a0 \u201cdeveloping architectural systems to transform research, the practical analysis, and certain theoretical questions, in leading strengths of conception.\u201d Manal Rachdi imposed himself as a pillar of a new generation of architects looking for social responsibilities and humor in its creation, discover below a small sample of them :<\/p>\n<p>\u00a0<\/p>\n<figure class=\"thumbnail wp-caption alignnone\" style=\"width: 574px\"><a href=\"https:\/\/www.oxoarch.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\" title=\"\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/i-h2.pinimg.com\/564x\/fc\/56\/36\/fc563650aa9d4120e3f1f52e4cb05863.jpg\" alt=\"Arbre Blanc \u2013 Montpellier, France\" width=\"564\" height=\"752\"><\/a><figcaption class=\"caption wp-caption-text\">Arbre Blanc \u2013 Montpellier, France<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>The White Tree is a double meeting. First of all, it is a meeting between Japan and France and second, it is a meeting between the young generation and the old one. In partnership with Sou Fujimoto, for who it is the first project in France, OXO Architectes created this tall white tower on the Christophe Colomb Square in Montpellier. The building was entirely through for its environment and will host an art gallery, and a bar with a panoramic garden.<\/p>\n<p>\u00a0<\/p>\n<figure class=\"thumbnail wp-caption alignnone\" style=\"width: 574px\"><a href=\"https:\/\/www.oxoarch.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\" title=\"\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/i-h2.pinimg.com\/564x\/40\/20\/09\/40200940c060e100cf91681a56ddf8e2.jpg\" alt=\"Mille Arbres \u2013 Paris, France\" width=\"564\" height=\"352\"><\/a><figcaption class=\"caption wp-caption-text\">Mille Arbres \u2013 Paris, France<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>The Mille Arbres project will be delivered in 2023 in Paris. The concept is to create a city building with offices, accommodation, a bur station, a conference center, and even a panoramic restaurant. Making the link between Paris and Neuilly, Mille Arbres is a hybrid building offering a true ecosystem covered by vegetation. The project was the result of a partnership with the Japanese Sou Fujimoto, once again.<\/p>\n<p>\u00a0<\/p>\n<figure class=\"thumbnail wp-caption alignnone\" style=\"width: 573px\"><a href=\"https:\/\/www.oxoarch.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\" title=\"\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/i-h2.pinimg.com\/564x\/f7\/76\/aa\/f776aa35e757e2e06762634d2ea759dd.jpg\" alt=\"Ecotone \u2013 Antibes, France\" width=\"563\" height=\"313\"><\/a><figcaption class=\"caption wp-caption-text\">Ecotone \u2013 Antibes, France<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>Our last project is in France, once again, in the south of the country in Antibes. That time, it is in partnership with the famous cabinet Jean Nouvel and the agency Foussat Bapt that OXO realized the project. The construction will be entirely composed of offices and services and will rise in the quarter of Sofia Antipolis.
