Everyone should know more about the city of design. For one week, from\u00a06 to 15 of September<\/strong>, Paris will receive the\u00a0Paris Design Week<\/em>.<\/strong>\u00a0During this time the French and international design community will increase and you can follow the growth. Besides that, there is Maison et Objet<\/strong><\/em>,\u00a0an international player in the world of home, decoration, architecture, design, and trends through its events and its digital platform.<\/p>\n

More than 200 venues<\/strong> are joining the event between showrooms, boutiques, galleries, ateliers, restaurants, cultural institutions, each housing and exclusive event.<\/p>\n\n \"BB_Book2020\"<\/a>\n

This new year starting in September will be virtuous.<\/a><\/h3>\n<\/blockquote>\n

This year, the theme of the Maison et Objet will be Virtuous, highlighting the impact of quality, beauty, and fairness.<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/a><\/p>\n

Everywhere in the world, new production methods, distribution practices, and consumption patterns emerge, with greater value placed on resources and work, which translate into fairer, more durable products that attempt to reconcile style and meaning.<\/p>\n

\"Maison<\/a><\/p>\n

Syctom<\/strong>, Paris\u2019s domestic waste management agency is joining Paris Design Week<\/strong> for the third year in a row with a full programme of exhibitions and events questioning notions of waste reduction and management at Ground Control, on 12-16 September.<\/p>\n

\"Maison<\/a><\/p>\n

Syctom<\/strong> will present the models and prototypes submitted through its Zero Waste Design Contest<\/strong>, several projects by professional designers, stage conferences, workshops, events for the public.<\/p>\n

Paris Design Week<\/strong> will also provide the chance to formally kick off the 2019 edition of the Zero Waste Design Contest during the event\u2019s opening night, on Wednesday 12 September, attended by Matali Crasset, who has agreed to sponsor the 2019 edition. Every year, Syctom processes 23 tonnes of domestic waste, facing a tremendous challenge to transform as much of it into something useful.<\/p>\n

\"Maison<\/a><\/p>\n

Because in today\u2019s context online reputation has gained so much weight, companies need to protect their virtue. A young company, Solide<\/strong>, founded in 2017, offers solutions to develop products or innovation systems<\/strong>. Solutions that tap into everyone\u2019s common sense and best\u00a0judgment.<\/p>\n

\"Maison<\/a><\/p>\n

Solide\u2019s<\/strong> sole ambition is to share its solutions with as many people as possible. After just one year of existence, the company decided to share their work with the public in a gallery in Cit\u00e9 du Petit-Thouars, with an exhibition entitled \u2018Au mur!\u2019<\/strong>, featuring partitions manufactured from felt, a \u2018virtuous\u2019 material produced from recycled wool.<\/p>\n

The partitions are the company\u2019s first step toward offering products with the potential to be produced industrially.<\/p>\n

\"Maison<\/a><\/p>\n

For many brands, Paris Design Week is also a unique opportunity to engage with the public, to present an original concept, prototypes of products currently in development. With an approach inspired by the way we shed our clothes, Solide<\/strong> has devised an installation that forces visitors to shift their perspective from body<\/strong> to interior through an original interpretation, in order to ensure the understanding of their research.<\/p>\n

The BHV Marais got a new lease of life when it added the word \u2018Marais\u2019 to its name. One of the city\u2019s major department stores, a place where people enjoy passing time, trying new things, finding inspiration, from the DIY section downstairs to its rooftop terrace, Parisians know they will always find what they are looking for there.<\/p>\n

\"Maison<\/a><\/p>\n

For Paris Design Week, the BHV Marais showcases its Absolument Maison<\/strong> brand, created by the store\u2019s in-house design team. A complete range of products to create an interior that feels like home<\/strong>, to make home improvements or fix things and to get acquainted with the basic principles of upcycling.<\/p>\n\n \"product<\/a>\n
