We had a unique chance to interview this amazing Russian interior designer<\/a>\u00a0<\/strong>and to ask her opinion about modern interior desig<\/strong>n and the evolution of design furniture<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

1 \u2013 What was your biggest motivation to become an interior designer?
\nAs strange as it may sound, surprisingly I felt kind of disbalance, lack of harmony in sight of wrongly-planned space and I always tried to correct it by moving furniture, rearranging objects in the ambience, trying to decorate everything around me. With time I realised more and more that design is a calling as a profession.
\n2 \u2013 What do you like the most about your job?
\nI like every step in the process: the first meeting with a client, searching for the right idea, working on details, decoration of the space, and of course, shooting the results of the work, although it takes plenty of time and effort.<\/p>\n

3 \u2013 What was the most extraordinary project you have ever worked on?
\nProbably, it is hotel-boutique \u201cParadox\u201d in the city of Zelenogradsk. The concept of the place itself is unusual, bringing into one place two museums, series of quests, bowling and a restaurant.<\/p>\n

4 \u2013 Where do you get your inspiration from?
\nThe working process is the inspiration by itself. When feeling lack of it, I go to see how the projects are going, talk with workers, because they decide the fate of the project. When I see the outlines of the new masterpiece, I want to start working and all my doubts and tiredness go away. Also, I get inspiration from other designers\u2019 works. I analyse them, seek for new interesting things, adapt it to my vision and apply in my further works. In addition, attending various expositions gives me a lot of emotions and exciting impressions, which prompt me new directions for new decisions.<\/p>\n

5 \u2013 If you had a chance to create an interior house design for a celebrity \/ historical person, who it would be and why?
\nIt\u2019s an interesting question, perhaps Coco Chanel. She is a legend, a famous couturier of the 20th century. It would be an elegant and stereotypically free interior.<\/p>\n

6 \u2013 Do you have favourite materials, brands which you like most to work with?
\nIn design, I usually use wallpapers Arte, Cole and Son, Wall Deco, Eijffinger, the Designers Guild and Khroma. I prefer from furniture brands Capital, Selva, Molteni, B and B, Cattelan and Roset. My favourite brands of kitchens are Sie Matic, Aster Cucine and Leight.<\/p>\n

7 \u2013 What international events and exhibitions do you like to attend?
\nI absolutely love to visit MAISON&OBJET. It\u2019s exhibition in Milan and Cologne.<\/p>\n

8- Which tendencies in the world of house design interior are waiting for us in the next 5 years? What do you think?
\nIn my mind, deep colours will be extremely popular. The presence of natural textures of untreated wood, metal, glass, concrete, as well as matte surfaces. Also, it will be wallpapered with large floral prints, images of marble textures and author\u2019s decoration. At the peak of popularity will remain soft, contemporary, notes of glamour and of course the classic.<\/p>\n

9 \u2013 What is your favourite style of interior decoration?
\nEvery style is worthy of respect, each of them is born in their time, so you need to look back on them to create a new one.<\/p>\n

10 \u2013 Portuguese brands are among trends nowadays. What are our thoughts about them, taking BRABBU as an example?
\nPortuguese furniture always took place in the furniture market, it is distinguished by quality different from the manufacturers of other countries. This is exactly the feature that makes this furniture in high demand on the modern market. Portuguese companies use for the upholstery only high-quality fabrics. Frames for mirrors \u2013 a work of art, tables and coffee tables as self-sufficient items can decorate your presence with an interior in every style.<\/p>\n
