They dedicate ten days to the most extraordinary and exciting motion picture projects and allow the city, the world and all those film lovers to experience a truly cosmopolitan and cultural atmosphere. \"\"Being a Bear the symbol of the city, the Golden Bear is the biggest award of the german film festival and numerous personalities such as the well-known actress Meryl Streep have won one. This year the honor went to the Hungarian director\u00a0Ildik\u00f3 Enyedi with the film \u201cOn body and Soul\u201d.

Alain Gomis won the Silver Bear with his African\u00a0drama \u201cF\u00e9licit\u00e9\u201d. With his film we can understand\u00a0Congolese culture through the eyes of a bar singer that frenetically searches for her teenage son\u00a0through the streets of Kinshasa.<\/p>\n

The young Portuguese\u00a0director Diogo Costa Amarante, with the film \u201cCidade Pequena\u201d, won the Golden Bear for Best Short Film. With the film, the director tells the story about a six-year-old boy who discovers that people die when their heart stops beating and can not go to sleep after the discovery. A truly remarkable story that conquered Berlin and is ready to do the same to the rest of the world!<\/p>\n
