\u201cI like it because you\u2019re using the whole room,\u201d says Ziecker. \u201cPlacing two chairs in front of the fireplace [creates]\u00a0a square that feels complete in terms of conversation<\/em>.\u201d<\/div>\n

\u201cIt feels like cocktail hour, like you could sit and either have a drink or play a game,\u201d says Ziecker. \u201cThere\u2019s something about it that feels sophisticated, but it\u2019s still conversational. You don\u2019t have to have a fireplace because the coffee table becomes your focal point of the room.<\/em>\u201c<\/div>\n

\u201cIt adds a little more texture\u00a0and interest to your furnishings in the room,\u201d says Ziecker. \u201cIt\u2019s maintaining that square shape, so it\u2019s still conversational, but there\u2019s not a repetitiveness of sofa, sofa, chair, chair.<\/em>\u201c<\/div>\n
