The Lantern Bar is one of the best rooftop bars in Singapore. Conceived by the architect as the highlight of\u00a0The Fullerton Bay Hotel Singapore\u00a0<\/em><\/strong>\u2013 the pool and bar certainly do not disappoint with spectacular panoramic views over the Singapore CBD skyline and Marina Bay precint.<\/p>\n

The luxurious boutique hotel opened in July 2010 \u2013 and is adjacent to the historic Clifford Pier on the Marina Bay waterfront in central Singapore. The bar takes it\u2019s name from the original Chinese description for Clifford Pier- \u201cred lantern pier\u201d- the pier was the landing point for immigrants (mostly ethnic Chinese) arriving in Singapore in the 19th and early 20th centuries.<\/p>\n

The rooftop 25 metre pool is set in a lush tropical setting and the bar sits at the waterfront end of the pool. The main circular bar itself is a stunning focus- comprising polished bronzed metal \u201cfins\u201d set into 6 metre diameter \u201clantern\u201d shaped structure. The main bar area is covered in canvas awnings, lighted with chandeliers, and cooled with overhead fans. The furnishings are faux rattan lounges, chairs and tables, and there are more \u201cprivate\u201d areas set along either side of the pool. Large candle-lit lanterns are placed throughout the decked area.<\/p>\n
