Bikoff set the bedroom color paintings from the color of the carpet<\/a><\/em> and then deconstructed it throughout the room.<\/p>\n

2. Consider the mood<\/strong><\/p>\n

Once the ground color is selected, you can add complimentary colors to the palette. In Bikoff\u2019s case she spread the African violet color to the carpet, pillows, vanity chair and stools and added lavender, grey and white to the rest of the bedroom design to get a more tranquil and calming effect.<\/p>\n

3. Placement is key<\/strong>
\nWhen using monochromatic color schemes<\/a><\/strong> it is important to know how to apply different tones, using more calming and softer shades on the ceiling and wall decoration, and leaving the brighter hues for smaller pieces that you which to be noticed. The heart-shaped vanity chairs in this space are upholstered<\/a><\/em><\/strong> in the same purple cashmere fabric used on the chrome and brass stools. The neutral tone of the bed and dresser give your eye a rest.<\/p>\n

4. Put your mirrors to work<\/strong><\/p>\n

According to Bikoff, mirrors<\/a><\/em> and blue tones work well together \u201cbecause it almost gives off a moonlit glow\u201d to the house\u00a0interior design<\/em>.<\/p>\n

5. Don\u2019t rule out any hue<\/strong>
\nWhen you are in doubt, instead of leaving a color behind, \u201crevert to nature\u201d and discover the colors that look amazingly together, advises Bikoff.<\/p>\n
