From the deserts of Tunisia to the woods in Northern California: today we present you the must-see filming locations for intrepid Star Wars fans! Let\u2019s go to the Star Wars Set Movie<\/em><\/strong>!\n<\/p>\n

\"Star<\/a>Head to Tunisia<\/strong> to visit sets that span the first two trilogies. Pictured here is the town of Onk Jemal, a stand-in for Anakin Skywalker\u2019s hometown of Mos Espa on Tatooine.<\/p>\n

\"Star<\/p>\n

The country is also home to the Hotel Sidi Driss<\/strong> in Matmata<\/strong>, the set of the subterranean Lars moisture farm on Tatooine where Luke Skywalker was raised by his uncle Owen and aunt Beru.<\/p>\n

\"Star<\/a><\/p>\n

Another Tatooine filming location was on the other side of the world, in Death Valley, California<\/strong>. In A New Hope,<\/em> these rocky canyons were frequented by Jawas and Sand People.<\/p>\n

Possibly the most endearing creatures in the Star Wars<\/em> universe, Ewoks live on the forest moon of Endor, which was filmed in Del Norte County, California.<\/strong><\/p>\n

The Hardangerj\u00f8kulen glacier<\/strong> near the town of Finse, Norway,<\/strong> was the setting of the icy Battle of Hoth in The Empire Strikes Back,<\/em> which infamously introduced the Empire\u2019s All Terrain Armored Transport vehicles, better known as AT-ATs or Imperial walkers. (Disclaimer: The AT-ATs shown here are not currently on the glacier\u2014we hope).<\/p>\n

\"Star<\/a><\/p>\n

When the Millennium Falcon<\/em> lands at the Rebel base on the jungle moon of Yavin, it passes by the real-life Mayan ruins in Tikal, Guatemala.<\/strong><\/p>\n

The snowy peaks near Grindelwald, Switzerland<\/strong>, served as the backdrop to the doomed planet of Alderaan, Princess Leia Organa\u2019s home.<\/p>\n

In the oft-criticized prequel trilogy, Anakin and Queen Padm\u00e9 Amidala are married in a secret wedding on the planet of Naboo, filmed at the Villa del Balbianello<\/strong> overlooking Italy\u2019s Lake Como.<\/strong><\/p>\n

\"Star<\/a><\/p>\n

When the duo land on Naboo in Attack of the Clones,<\/em> they walk along the real-life Plaza de Espa\u00f1a<\/strong> in Seville, Spain<\/strong>, which stands in for the plaza in front of the Theed Royal Palace, from which Queen Amidala briefly ruled.<\/p>\n

\"Star<\/a><\/p>\n

The palace\u2019s interiors were filmed in Italy\u2019s Palace of Caserta.<\/strong><\/p>\n

In the recently released The Force Awakens,<\/em> we meet heroine Rey on the desert planet of Jakku. These scenes were filmed in the Rub\u2019 al Khali desert in Abu Dhabi.<\/p>\n

Rey encounters the evil Kylo Ren in the forests of planet Takodana, whose Earth substitute is Puzzlewood<\/strong>, pictured here, in the Forest of Dean located near Gloucestershire, England<\/strong>. But the shot of the Millennium Falcon<\/em>landing on the planet was filmed in Derwentwater, Cumbria<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

For the Rebel base on the planet of D\u2019Qar, the filmmakers turned to the former airbase Greenham Common<\/strong> in Berkshire, England.<\/p>\n

The Force Awakens<\/em> headed to Iceland<\/strong> for filming. The area around the Krafla Volcano<\/strong> and the Myvatn Lakes<\/strong>serves as the battleground between the First Order and the Resistance.<\/p>\n

We can\u2019t say much without giving away any spoilers, but those who have seen the film will know immediately what pivotal scene was shot at the island of Skellig Michael<\/strong> in Ireland<\/strong>.<\/p>\n
