London Fashion Week started last Friday, 18th september, with all the coolest proposals of the biggest designers for the next\u00a0SS16.\u00a0Earlier this year when it was announced that London Fashion Week <\/a>was moving from its much-loved home in Somerset House (its base for the last five\u00a0years) to the second floor of a car park<\/em> in Soho, London<\/a>, there were more than a few raised eyebrows.\u00a0Regarding this new spot, the British Fashion Council has tapped David Collins Studio<\/a><\/strong><\/em>, the design firm that created interiors ranging from The Wolseley to Harrods Shoe Heaven to Jimmy Choo\u2019s Bond Street flagship, for its new\u00a0London\u00a0Fashion Week show space in Soho<\/em>. A trendy showroom created in an unexpected place.<\/p>\n

\"FROMAlthough less conventionally beautiful than its former Neoclassical locale, the Brewer Street car park does offer a much needed upgrade in terms of space and flexibility that reflects the current growth within the UK fashion market.<\/p>\n

David Collins, founder of David Collins Studio:\u00a0born and raised in dublin, david collins\u2019s childhood ambitions might have denied the world some of the most treasured interiors of the 20th and 21st centuries. Fortuitously, his family put pay to fashion designer and musician aspirations while an aversion to latin prevented a career in law. Instead, David followed in his father\u2019s footsteps with a degree at Bolton Street School of Architecture.<\/p>\n
