James went by the name of \u2019Snowqueens Icedragon\u2019 and the story was called Master Of The Universe.<\/p>\n 3.\u00a0<\/strong>James decided to tweak the story and take out the vampiric component, so Twilight\u2019s Edward Cullen became the dominant billionaire Christian Grey and Bella Swan transformed into the submissive student Anastasia Steele.<\/p>\n 4.\u00a0<\/strong>The Fifty Shades Of Grey trilogy was originally published as e-books and print-on-demand paperbacks by a virtual publisher, before it was picked up and re-released in spring 2012.<\/p>\n 5.\u00a0<\/strong>To date, around 100 million copies of the trilogy (there\u2019s also Fifty Shades Of Darker and Fifty Shades Freed) have been sold in 52 languages.<\/p>\n 6.\u00a0<\/strong>The publishers have reportedly boasted that at the height of the book\u2019s popularity, two copies of Fifty Shades were being sold every second.<\/p>\n 7.\u00a0<\/strong>The popularity of the erotic books within a certain age group inspired the term \u2018mummy porn\u2019.<\/p>\n 8.\u00a0<\/strong>The book\u2019s subject matter meant, all of a sudden, it seemed perfectly normal to discuss BDSM (bondage, domination and sado-masochism) around the water cooler.<\/p>\n 9.\u00a0<\/strong>Its ambiguous beginnings led to a lawsuit when the movie rights were sold, amid claims that the material was part of the public domain and therefore copyright registrations were invalid. James apparently won.<\/p>\n 21.\u00a0<\/strong>The budget for the film is estimated to be around US$ 40million.<\/p>\n 22.\u00a0<\/strong>James\u2019 first-choice for Christian Grey was apparently Mr Twilight himself, Robert Pattinson.<\/p>\n 23.\u00a0<\/strong>Model David Gandy has said he was approached, but isn\u2019t interested in acting.<\/p>\n 24<\/strong>.
