HSH Interiors – A Project Filled with Light: Marin Home

HSH Interiors - A Project Filled with Light: Marin Home

HSH Interiors was founded by Holly Hollenbeck, who is also the principal designer, based in Marin County, they cover all of San Francisco. They offer full-service design, ranging from colour consultations and room designs, to complete project management, infusing each individual space with the personal aesthetic of each client.

Every project HSH Interiors works on begins with the clients’ vision, for they believe that sophisticated interiors should be as unique as the people who live in them. The studio starts by getting to know the client personally and takes a fresh approach to design spaces which truly reflect the homeowner’s lifestyle and preferences.

For every project, be it large-scale, ground-up construction, single–room remodelling or even furniture selection, HSH Interiors create detailed road maps that make projects manageable without leaving a single detail uncovered. The studio’s team works collaboratively with the client, architects and builders to run projects, both large and small, on time and on budget.

HSH Interiors completely modernises a Marin home. The main challenge of this project was to meld a classic hoe dating back to the early 1900s with amazing antique items of sentimental value, whilst keeping in mind the clients’ request to modernise and create improved entertaining spaces.

Aside from the antiques, the HSH team also focused on incorporating passion point pieces including the wife’s self-made pottery and the couples rare collection of wine.  The studio struck the perfect balance between new and old while creating an overall cosy, California vibe, taking pride in incorporating special pieces by makers and artisans.

A new coat of paint on all interiors, as well as lighting and a new fireplace, were some of the upgrades this home received, as well as a total remodel of the main powder bathroom. HSH Interiors had in mind the comment made by the clients, that they never used the living room, so transformed it into a cosier, more functional and elegant by using a -u- shaped blue mohair sofa.
