Today we are going to explore one of their projects – the Jade restaurant located in the JW Marriott. Inspired by the Asian culture and flair, the restaurant is defined by drama and sophistication.

Upon entering the restaurant, one is greater by two Foo Dogs – the Chinese Guardian Lions, known for being protectors against negative energy. Not only this but also a few other touches of traditional Asian design are possible to find, such as the wooden facades, slats of perimetral wood and sliding doors.

Whilst mimicking its ancestral design, the slats take on a modern approach with the integration of lighting to add to the verticality of the space as well as creating an added layer of spectacle to the facade.

When the guest enters the space, they are greeted with low lights and dark walls to create a mood of tranquillity and calm. The interiors are designed with clean, contemporary walls with added layers of texture to give the space depth and visual interest. The light fixtures are sleek and over-scaled which add another element of character to the modern design.

The HORUS Suspension Light by BRABBU gives this ambience a golden touch. Embracing the Asian style, the chandelier perfectly fits the dining area, creating a more refined and classic design.
