Christian Haas was born in Germany, 1974, and established his Studio in 2000. The German Designer creates products through multiple disciplines from furniture and lighting to porcelain and glassware.
Haas‘s design approach merges simplicity and elegance, with his sense of aesthetics driven by the harmony between sobriety, usefulness, emotionality, longevity and uniqueness.
The Christian Haas Studio works for international brands and through the years, his work was honoured with numerous awards such as the Red Dot Design Award and the Elle Decoration International Design Award.
Some of his most notable works include the lighting edition Ropes, part of Vitra Design Museum’s permanent collection, the broad furniture range for the Japanese producer Karimoku New Standard and some of the most successful tableware series of the past 10 years.
The Elephant is a compelling and versatile upholstery range series, designed to function both in private and public spaces. Its simple and calm soft forms suggest comfort and an unobtrusive cosiness.
Andreas Murkudis presents the Studio’s first solo exhibition at his shop in Potsdamer Strasse 77, Berlin. The designs shown range from furniture for living, eating and working, to light objects and interior accessories, such as glass and tableware.
